Kyle Filipowski Kyle Filipowski 6'9" | PF Wilbrham & Monson | 2022 State #13 Nation New E , Wilbraham and Monson Academy, Position C, HT 6’11 Class 2022
Kyle had what many scouts are saying was the top performance at Hoop Hall. Kyle showed he is living up to all the hype he gets. He is a 6’11 powerful playmaker. In the Game at Hoop Hall against Life Christian, he showed how he has such a good skill set, especially at his size. Kyle proved how he can run the floor and score in transition, he showed his handles, and his improving jump shot. To be 6’11 and be able to play on the wing or down low is a nightmare for defenses to try to match up with. If kyle improves his three point shooting, there is no limit to his game. Kyle is also a paint protector, a great defender in the post, and can matchup with multiple positions. Kyle finished the game with 28 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 2 steals.
Enmanuel Hansen, Life Christian Academy, Class 2022, HT 6’4, Position CG
Everyone was rooting for the feel good story of Enmanuel Hansen at Hoop Hall. His Life Christian team faced a tough match up against Wilbrahm and Monson, with Kyle Filipowski Kyle Filipowski 6'9" | PF Wilbrham & Monson | 2022 State #13 Nation New E . Enmanuel lost his arm at the age of 6, and has remarkably been playing basketball at a high level ever since. The first things that jump out to you are his crazy athleticism, and his playing making abilities. Even with one arm, he is still able to have a crafty set of ball handling skills, and making crossover, and between the leg moves. He has some limitations due to his disability, but really when you watch him play, you are more amazed each time with what he can do. Enmanuel is proving to be a high level player, and has received 1 division 1 offer so far. I think he has the skills to play at the division 1 level and continues to prove people wrong. In the game he had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and shot well from the free throw line.
DJ Wagner, Camden, Class 2023, Position CG, HT 6’3
I saw DJ play 2 games at Hoop Hall. Going into the game’s I had super high expectations for him. In the first game against Calvary Christian, DJ did not play his best. The Calvary team was playing super tough defense on him. They were face guarding him the whole length of the court, and trapping him on the ball screens. In the game I thought DJ had some trouble getting is shot off, and at one point was forcing it a little. He finished the game 5-20 from the field. DJ also had 5 turnovers. I did see flashes in the first game of his potential, and high level and skill set. In the second game DJ came back stronger, and didn’t let the first game bother him. Un like a lot of top ranked recruits, DJ doesn’t wow you with his athleticism, or size. What wows you about DJ, is his craftiness, and his skill set. His ability to score at the rim, his ability to pull up and shoot from anywhere, and his passing skills. There were a few time though I thought that DJ tried to be to fancy when trying to finish at the rim, and should have just gone with the simple move. DJ looked well conditioned, as he played every minute of both games. DJ is a combo guard, and can run the point, and also play off the ball. DJ is definitely a high level, and top player, but does have something’s to improve. In the second game against Milton he finished with 21 points and 5 rebounds, while going just under 50 percent from the field.
Gradey Dick, Sunrise Christian, Class 2022, Position SF, HT 6’6.
Scouts are calling Gradey the best shot maker in the class of 2022. I saw Gradey play twice at Hoop Hall. Gradey is more of a wing player than a post player. He has great length for a wing player, and with his long reach, it’s a tough shot to block. Grady will do very well at the college level, because of his shooting, and playmaking abilities. Gradey moves very well without the ball, and is constantly in motion. He is always cutting hard, come off screens well, and gets to his spots quickly. I do think if he got a little more built up that would help him. Gradey is also a super athletic player. His on ball defense I thought was an underrated aspect of his game. In the fist game Gradey played 32 minutes and helped his team win in overtime, He had 14 points and 11 rebounds. In the second game he helped his team win another close game with 17 points 4 assists and 6 rebounds.
Dillion Mitchell, Montverde Academy, Position PF, HT 6’7 Class 2022
Dillion plays on an absolutely loaded Montverde Academy team, that I was lucky enough to see play twice at Hoop Hall. The first thing you notice about Dillion is his strength, power, and jumping ability. Just watching him in warmups was a show. How high he was able to get above the rim, and the power he dunked with was super impressive. Dillion is an incredibly strong built player, who can power his way through anyone in the post. Dillion is an excellent rebounder, as well. The one thing Dillion lacks is his ability to shoot from the outside. With scouts so focused on shooting nowadays he will have to work on that. Dillion is a paint protector, and a excellent shot blocker. He had a few monster blocks in the game. In the second game against IMG Dillion had a highlight play where he got his own rebound, and in mid air through down a huge dunk. Dillion is a very high level player.
