Friday Night Top Performers

<p><i>Friday night was another night of impressive performances with the feature matchup being Overhills vs Pine Forest. Let’s take a look at a few standouts from that matchup and players that played well in the area</i>. </p>
<p>Pine Forest Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="848090" first="Tristin" last="Harkins"]</b>: His team needed a big-time performance from him and that’s exactly what they got on Friday night. He put together one of his best scoring performances of his high school career with a game high of 30 Points which also gave him 1,000 career points. The unsigned Senior provided timely buckets, defense and leadership to help his team pull off the huge conference win.</p>
<p>Overhills Senior Forward <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1062099" first="Damien" last="Robinson"]</b>: From start to finish of their matchup with PF, he battled inside the paint and provided a much-needed interior presence on both ends. He understands how to use his strength to play thru contact and showed some impressive athletic ability. College coaches at the NAIA, JC, D3 and D2 levels should all be taking a look at him. </p>
<p>Overhills HS Senior Wing <b>Ayden Gittens</b>: We have seen flashes of his potential throughout the season and this matchup was one of his better overall showings. He displayed the ability to knock down perimeter shots offensively and he defended multiple positions fairly well throughout the night.</p>
<p>Pine Forest Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1214481" first="Chamond" last="Williams"]</b>: As the season has gone on, he’s turned up his level of play and has been very productive lately. He’s found a balance of being a playmaker while scoring but is still making a solid contribution defensively.</p>
<p>Apex HS Senior Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="1006166" first="Patrick" last="Malott"]</b>: He put together one of the better senior night performances of any player in the state, scoring a game high of 41 Points. His ability to score from multiple levels, defend, and facilitate are all reasons why smaller colleges should be keeping an eye on him. </p>
