Top Small Forwards in Colorado that show potential to make it to the next level. The season is more than halfway done and these players have proven thus far into their season why they are amongst the elite at their position.

[player_tooltip player_id="969431" first="Kadyn" last="Betts"] | 6’8 SF | Pueblo Central High School

One of those players that dominate every game and would seem unfathomable if you don’t find his name on a college roster in the next two years. The small forward has close to every skill required to advance to the next level. Being 6’8 in high school normally means you’re playing both offense and defense down low, however, Betts is talented enough to guard players anywhere on the court, in addition to scoring from all locations. It is safe to say you’d be regretful to not watch him play in person.

[player_tooltip player_id="965781" first="Marzouq" last="Abdur-Razaaq"] | 6’7 SF | Overland High School

Marzouq might be the best player to step foot in Overland High School since De’Ron Davis. Only in his junior year, Marzouq has shown flashes of tremendous potential by posting 10+ rebounds in nine consecutive games. Rebounding is an essential skill required to be a good basketball player, but we can’t ignore his 18 points per game this year all while facing some strong competition. His three-point shot needs more development, but on the bright side, he shoots the mid-range well and can play at the high post on offense if needed.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284436" first="Carey" last="Booth"] | 6’9 SF/PF | Cherry Creek High School

Ball handling, shooting, high-flying dunks are just a few things that [player_tooltip player_id="1284436" first="Carey" last="Booth"] is capable of on the basketball court. This small forward, despite his team struggling so far into the season, has made or will make his name known by the time the season comes to an end. He is the tallest small forward on this list, however, he truly plays like one and occasionally flashes potential to play at the shooting guard position. He puts a lot of arc into his shot even though he is 6’9, which results in a beautiful rainbow-like arc that travels its way through the net. He slashes to the basket with ease and will dunk over just about anyone whether it be from the baseline or the middle of the paint. Shockingly he is only averaging 10.6 points per game, but as we know, stats don’t always justify how good a player really is and [player_tooltip player_id="1284436" first="Carey" last="Booth"] is showing that.

Davian Bryant | 6’7 SF | Columbine High School

There is no secret to what this player brings to the table night in and night out. Davian Bryant recognizes his job and that is to dunk the ball, block shots, and rebound. As a player, he knows his role well and that catches the attention of college scouts considering they look for players to play their part on the team. Some work is needed to improve his jump shot, but no one should judge the capabilities to develop that, especially from such a talented basketball player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046034" first="Cameron" last="Lowe"] | 6’5 SF | Lewis-Palmer High School

[player_tooltip player_id="1046034" first="Cameron" last="Lowe"] is one of Colorado’s top players that deserves more recognition. The captain of Lewis-Palmer High School has helped lead his team to a 17-1 record. Shooting over 40% from the 3, Cameron will shoot over any defender with no struggle and still manage to score. It is beneficial for himself to have learned how to shoot early into his career to make that transition to college. More of a pickpocketer than a shot blocker, Lowe could switch over to the shooting guard position if need be making him even more valuable than what his stats depict.
