There is no doubt that Imhotep (arguably the No. 1 team in the Philadelphia area) was the favorite in this contest. However, given the number of college prospects on Executive Education’s roster, we expected an extremely close contest. We were wrong.
Imhotep led from the opening tip and used a tremendous second quarter run to put this game away before halftime. Imhotep cruised to a 66-36 victory.
Below is a review of the college prospects that took the court yesterday for the Imhotep Charter vs. Executive Education Charter Academy game.
Imhotep Charter
Mo Abdullah Mo Abdullah 6'4" | SF Imhotep Charter | 2022 State PA – 6’4” / Senior / NJ Scholars Elite / Wing: Abdullah (Committed to Rider) is an explosive and versatile athlete with extraordinary scoring skills. His ability to knock home threes sets up his dribble drive game nicely. His continuous off ball movement and ability to slash to the basket without the ball are noteworthy as well.
Rahmir Barno Rahmir Barno 5'10" | CG Imhotep Charter | 2023 State #223 Nation PA – 5’10” / Junior / Team Final EYBL / Point Guard: The No. 2 ranked 2023 in Pennsylvania had a noticeably quiet scoring night (6 points), but his distribution skills we on full display.Barno also showcased his end-to-end court speed and ability to navigate tight spaces with the dribble.
Devin Booker Devin Booker 6'5" | SF Cristo Rey Philadelphia | 2025 State #347 Nation PA – 5’11” / Sophomore / K-Low Elite / Combo Guard: Booker turned heads on Saturday with his solid 3-point shooting. Then after Executive Education realized they needed to guard Booker tighter on the perimeter, he wisely began using a head fake and a couple of dribbles so he could get to his mid-range pull up game. Booker is a 2024 to keep an eye on.
Justin Edwards Justin Edwards 6'6" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2023 State #3 Nation PA – 6’5” / Junior / Team Final EYBL / Wing: The electric floor general who is the No. 1 ranked 2023 in Pennsylvania displayed his well-rounded skills et in this game. Edwards scored with his jumper, off the dribble drive, via the offensive glass, in transition and by dunking on defender’s heads. His unique point-forward style will make Edwards a tremendous college player. He finished with 18 points and completely dominated this game.
Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA – 6’0” / Sophomore / NJ Scholars Elite / Combo Guard: If you have watched Nowell (No. 2 ranked 2024 in PA) play, then you know his creative dribbling skills allow him to score at the rim frequently. His ability to absorb contact and finish with either hand is second to none in the Class of 2024. However, in this game it was Nowell’s perimeter shooting that grabbed headlines. He banged home 4 threes on his way to 18 points.
Ronny Raphael Ronny Raphael 5'11" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2022 State PA – 5’11” / Senior / NEPA Elite / Combo Guard: The Gannon University commit owns a polished all-around skill set. In this contest Raphael’s knack for getting into the paint via the dribble and then scoring through contact was impressive. He posted 9 points in this game.
Executive Education Charter Academy
Jeremiah Bembry – 6’6” / Senior / We R1 / Small Forward: Bembry (15 ppg. & 4 rpg.) is listed on Executive’s roster as a 6’6” small forward, but the FSU commit plays more of point-forward role. The lefty can penetrate against man-toman defenses whenever he wants. He possesses a deep bag of fakes and dribble moves. Bembry’s court vision and unselfish nature allow him to be a solid distributor. Bembry was also remarkably effective on the offensive glass in this contest. When Bembry (7 points in this game) adds muscle to his frame, he will become a tremendous college player.
Kobe Magee Kobe Magee 6'4" | SG Executive Education | 2022 State PA – 6’5” / Senior / Team Final Red / Small Forward: The slasher wing who averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds per game this season injured his ankle in this game and thus we did not get to see much of him. To his credit, Magee (Drexel commit) attempted to play through the injury, but just could not.
Rylan Muniz – 5’10” / Sophomore / Team Final Red / Combo-Guard: Muniz is another 2024 prospect to keep an eye for the future. Currently he is averaging 8 ppg. on the strength of his high level 3-point shooting. He flashed decent handles in this contest and as that skill set develops, the ability to also score off the dribble will make Muniz extremely difficult to guard.
Moustapha Sanoh – 6’9” / Junior / Team Final Red / Power Forward: With his length, athleticism, and timing, Sanoh is an elite rim protector and rebounder (8 rpg.). On offense he can finish inside and capitalizes on second chance opportunities.
Jalil Schenck – 5’10” / Senior / Philly Pride Gold / Combo-Guard: Schenck is a fearless guard who plays a downhill style of ball. His quick first step and slick handles enable Schenck to create scoring opportunities for himself. Additionally, Schenck is a high percentage three-point shooter with deep range. Schenck (14 points in this one) came to play on Saturday and rose to the challenge of facing several of the best guard prospects (Edwards, Barno, Raphael and Nowell) the Philadelphia area has to offer.
