In Tuesday nights match-up between the West Fargo Packers and the Fargo Shanley Deacons, the Green and White got the upper hand. The game ended with a score of 86-58 and we saw the defending State champions have no problem taking care of business. Because of the results of this game the Packers now sit at #2 in the EDC with a 14-3 record, and the Deacons sit at #5 with a record of 10-9. As we inch closer to the playoffs every game, like this one, has an impact on where teams will fall in the standings, and I have a feeling its going to be a very entertaining rest of the way.

West Fargo Packers

As we near the postseason, I had a feeling that the defending champs would start to hit a stride and really get things going, and thats exactly whats happening. With four games left in the regular season and currently sitting on a four game win streak, the Packers could go into March with a lot of confidence. This past Tuesday against Shanley the Green and White shot the ball well. With shooting rates of 49% from the field, 43% from beyond the arc, and 73% at the stripe, West Fargo gave themselves a big advantage. Not to mention that they beat out the Deacons in rebounds, assists, steals, and turnovers.

Fargo Shanley Deacons

Although the Deacons didn't have the game they wanted against the Packers, there are still some positives to take from it. As a team Shanley shot a respectable 43% from the field and 40% from the arc. They also have two contests left of the regular season and in my opinion, they are both very winnable games by a wide margin. Some things that need to be cleaned up in their next match-ups based off of this last game include turnovers and free throw shooting, two key factors to winning.
