Bruce’s Best: All Swiss Army Knife Team

<p>Hard to believe the season has come and gone, it was a blast! I was fortunate to have a front-row seat. Going from gym to gym every night provided me with an up-close and personal look at some of the best talents from around the state. I absolutely love players that can do it all on the court. Defend, rebound, shoot, you name it these players can do it. Here’s a look at my all Swiss Army Knife Team. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1041560" first="Darrion" last="Williams"] <em>6’5 SF Bishop Gorman 2022 (#3PHN 2022)</em> - From the moment I saw Williams play, I knew he would be the perfect fit for the Gaels. A high IQ wing forward, he facilitates, from both the interior and perimeter. He’s capable of beating you with catch and shoot threes and can create for himself off the bounce. At any given point the senior forward may be called on to score down low, rebound or initiate the offense. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1227127" first="Sterling" last="Knox"] <em>6’5 SF Durango 2023 (#3PHN 2023)</em> - Knox is one of the top grab and go guys in the state, with the ability to board and start the break. He spaces the floor with his shooting and may be called on to defend opposing teams’ bigs on his next possession. Knox’s versatility extends to the defensive end, where he has the ability to defend 2 through 5. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="940473" first="Logan" last="Howren"] <em>6’4 SF Bishop Manogue 2023 (#28PHN 2023)</em> - Howren is a positionless player with PG skills. He has a good frame and uses it to carve out rebounding space. The junior wing is a willing passer, who picks up assist off both hit aheads and while operating in the half-court. Howren led the club in assists and steals while finishing second in rebounds. </p> <p><strong>Kiante Atchinson</strong> <em>6’0 SF Cimarron 2022 ()</em> - Atichinson is the heart and soul of the Spartans. He defends multiple positions and is counted on to rebound the ball. As if those duties weren’t enough, he’s also counted on to bring the ball up the court and initiate the offense from the PG position. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1132363" first="Andre" last="Cade"] <em>6’0 SG SLAM 2024 ()</em> - Hard to assign a position to Cade, the guard does so much for the Bulls, at times he’s called on to run the offense, he’ll rebound in traffic and he defends from 1 through 3.
