These for matchups are huge as a few teams are starting slide and a few other ones are starting to rise. it can go either way and each team needs this win bad.

West Jordan vs. Mountain Ridge

West Jordan is 5-2 and Mountain Ridge is 2-5. Mountain Ridge has talent on their team as they seem to hand with almost everyone but seem to falter late. [player_tooltip player_id="934518" first="Merrick" last="Sherwood"] is a solid next level prospect and he has been very consistent throughout the season, he will need a lot more help moving forward as they try and make a late run here over the next few games. [player_tooltip player_id="1192299" first="Brantyn" last="Van Dyke"] and [player_tooltip player_id="967686" first="Jake" last="Fitton"] will need to match the Jaguars guard play. On the other side West Jordan escaped a bad loss against Riverton as two free-throws rimed out which allowed West Jordan to escape with a win. [player_tooltip player_id="934507" first="Logan" last="Prince"] is coming up when it matters as he continues to play well in that uptempo style as he finds his spots and he finds his teammates.

Key Players: [player_tooltip player_id="934507" first="Logan" last="Prince"] (West Jordan), [player_tooltip player_id="934518" first="Merrick" last="Sherwood"] (Mountain Ridge)

Pleasant Grove vs. Westlake

Pleasant Grove is coming off of a loss to American Fork and Westlake is coming off of a big loss to Corner Canyon. Westlake really needs this win to get back to .500 in region play and PG needs this win to stay in that Top 4 in the RPI. This game can go either way. [player_tooltip player_id="968781" first="Dylan" last="Jones"] has been huge but he did not fair well against his old team in their last meeting. Look for him to be more aggressive. On the other end of the ball there are a few player on that PG roster that could really make a huge difference. [player_tooltip player_id="1198755" first="Tanner" last="Hanks"] has been playing well. [player_tooltip player_id="1127199" first="McCaden" last="Adams"] has been solid and not too many teams can really stop him.

Key Players: [player_tooltip player_id="1127199" first="McCaden" last="Adams"] (Pleasant Grove), [player_tooltip player_id="968781" first="Dylan" last="Jones"] (Westlake)

Skyridge vs. Corner Canyon

Last time CCHS strapped it up seemed really confident after a big win against Westlake and they need to make a big push here late. [player_tooltip player_id="934040" first="Max" last="Toombs"] has taken his game to the next step as he is out there posting up smaller guards, With a few other players chipping in Corner is a dangerous team. Skyridge will need to get [player_tooltip player_id="967723" first="Nick" last="Holland"] loose and [player_tooltip player_id="968113" first="Colby" last="Carter"] will need to come through if they want to get back on track.

Key Players: [player_tooltip player_id="934040" first="Max" last="Toombs"] (Corner Canyon), [player_tooltip player_id="967723" first="Nick" last="Holland"] (Skyridge)

Orem vs. Timpview

A lot is on the line here in region play and in 5A as this game will be a show. [player_tooltip player_id="1337838" first="Truman" last="Burningham"] had himself a game. If he has another one like that Timpview is going to be tough to beat. Orem has had a lot of players play well all season. They will have ot make some adjustments. [player_tooltip player_id="1127234" first="Nick" last="Clark"] will need to get the better of these Timpview guards.

Key Players: Ethan Stoddard (Orem), [player_tooltip player_id="934031" first="James" last="Rust"] (Timpview)
