The 2023 class is a terrific class in all aspects of the game of basketball. You can find a little bit of everything in this group. We are going to dive into a series of categories throughout the junior hoopers.

Today we are looking at some of the premier 3 point shooters in the 2023 rankings not listed in previous 2023 Ratings Articles.

#12 [player_tooltip player_id="1080189" first="Eli" last="Shetlar"], 6’5 G, Andover: The long and athletic Shetlar is a tremendous shooter who has continued to improve every aspect of his game throughout his career. Shetlar has made 42 threes on the year and shooting it at nearly 50% from distance. Can knock it down off the catch, open, contested, and in transition off the bounce.

#19 [player_tooltip player_id="1080178" first="Britton" last="Dutton"], 6’1 G, Ellinwood: One of the premier scorers in all of 2023 is also one of the best shooters. The ultra quick release, quick spring off the ground, and not afraid of the big moment to drill big shots. Also has extended range and proving at shooting 42% and hitting 33 on the season. Is a tremendous pull up three point shooter off the bounce making him always dangerous with the ball.

#21 [player_tooltip player_id="1080181" first="Kellan" last="Simoneau"], 6’1 PG, Rose Hill: Has hit a ton of long range three ball on the season, especially when stepping into passes running into transition. Very smart off the ball as well and relocates to great spots to find himself with quality looks.

#24 [player_tooltip player_id="1080187" first="Brekyn" last="Ratzlaff"], 6’ PG, Hillsboro: The leader in the back court and knockdown perimeter shooter for one of the best teams in all of 2A hoops. Has hit nearly 30 threes on the season at 18 points per game at a 41% from 3 clip.

#38 [player_tooltip player_id="1146270" first="Keller" last="Hurla"], 6’ G, St Marys: Another elite shooter in the 2A classification in Kansas, Hurla has been scorching nets all season and can heat up quick. His last performance out he hit 6 threes en-route to a 26 point half. Has made 44 threes this season at a 45% clip. Ultra quick release and will get his shot off over tough contests.

#41 [player_tooltip player_id="1080196" first="Kaeden" last="Bonner"], 6’3 G, Seaman: Has expanded his entire scoring package from all three level over the last year and a half but that has not taken away from him being a great perimeter shooter. Bonner continues to be one of the leaders in 3 point shooting in the Centennial. Special in the catch and shoot game spotting up.

#58 [player_tooltip player_id="1080203" first="Ryle" last="Riddlesperger"], 6’1 G, Hugoton: One of the microwaves on this list who can get going from the perimeter in bunches. This was telling in last nights performance going 6 of 7 from 3 and finishing with 22 points in the ball game. On the season he is averaging 14 points per game and shooting it at 40% from 3.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146290" first="Wyatt" last="Spexarth"], 6’3 W, Andale: A good sized wing player who is good for knocking down a couple of threes per game. Gets himself into good spot up opportunities moving without the basketball and gets shot ready quick. A big time zone buster for his Andale squad.
