Take a look at the updated Top 10 rankings for the class of 2023 in the state.
10)| 6’4 Guard/Wing | Ravenscroft
Emuobor moves from Top 20 prospect into the Top 10 after a productive season with Ravenscroft, showing off his ability to score on all three levels. As he improves his shooting on the perimeter, look for recruitment to grow in the class.
9). | 6’4 Guard | Liberty Heights
Demary holds firm in the Top 10 at No. 9 in the ranks as a key cog in the Liberty Heights rotation. He’s a two-way presence with a ton of promise that continues to climb up the radar and attract MM schools.
8)| 6’10 Center/Forward | The Burlington School
Nwoko has played a pivotal role in the Spartans quest for another 2A State Title. He’s a mobile forward that can finish with authority and gets out and runs on the break. He’ll be a breakout prospect in the class this summer.
7)| 6’6 Shooting Guard | Word of God
Dilione is another mover into the Top 10 following a productive season as the primary scorer in the Word of God rotation. He’s the top shooting guard prospect in 2023 with his ability to score it on all three levels.
6)| 6’8 Forward | Myers Park
Strong is a prospect that’s really excelled at either forward spot in the Myers Park rotation. He’s posted 17.3 ppg, 9.3 rpg and 1.0 bpg while showing off his development in the frontcourt. He’s a budding name to know on the interior in 2023.
5)| 6’4 Wing/Guard | Greensboro Day
Young is an emerging prospect to know with a ton of intangibles on both ends of the floor over at Greensboro Day School. He’s an athletic prospect that can battle on the boards, defend the opponents’ best player and make things happen with the ball in his hands as a slasher. He’s a HM target in the 2023 class.
4)| 6’1 Point Guard | JL Chambers
Curry is one of two point guards in the Top 10, while moving slightly into the No. 4 spot. He’s a masterful floor general that’s finding his ability to make plays for others as the NCHSAA Playoffs are heating up.
3)| 5’10 Point Guard | Link Academy
Green has flipped the switch as the floor general for Link Academy in 2021-22 and finds himself as the No. 3 prospect in the state. He’s shown off his ability to knock down the 3-ball, defend and distribute the basketball while turning heads as more than a shooter on the perimeter.
2)| 6’3 Guard | Vertical Academy
Williams remains as a top prospect in the state at No. 2 with his ability to make plays for himself and others and has yet to back down from a challenge since coming to the HoopState. He’s a top name to know for sure.
1)| 6’2 Guard | Donda Academy
Dillingham remains the top name in the state despite being at Donda Academy (CA). The NC State commit has held his own with his new squad while being the main attraction and living up to his billing as a prolific guard prospect.
