A look at some of the hottest players in the 2022 class that have moved up the rankings.

33. 6’4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1203160" first="Andrew" last="Quinn"] - Webster Thomas

[player_tooltip player_id="1203160" first="Andrew" last="Quinn"] has shown this year he is the most elite and efficient scorer in Rochester. Sharing shots with two other premier scorers but still finds a way to put up numbers consistently. Quinn rarely misses and can score at any level. A highly skilled guard with length and a smooth shot of the bounce. Quinn also is tasked every night with guarding the best player on the other team, which speaks to his ability to defend at the next level.

35. 6’8 PF [player_tooltip player_id="1047194" first="Philip" last="Nwugwo"] - Victor

[player_tooltip player_id="1047194" first="Philip" last="Nwugwo"] is every coach’s dream, holding offers from Daemon and Roberts Wesleyan Nwugwo fits the role of stretch four perfectly at that level. Tremendous length, which helps him finish over the top when he is playing with his back to the basket. Shoots the ball well from the three point line which makes him an asset at the division 2 level.

41. 6’7 PF [player_tooltip player_id="1382599" first="Declan" last="Ryan"] - Canisius

A standout last year on the Prep Hoops Circuit has brought even more to continue that standout campaign. [player_tooltip player_id="1382599" first="Declan" last="Ryan"] has shown he can do it all on the floor, and He is a phenomenal passer out of the post, which I feel is his best asset. A great shooter with nice touch around the rim and outside the three-point line. Ryan’s ability to put the ball on the ground also allows him to rebound then push in transition, making him a valuable asset for his team.

42. 6’5 PF [player_tooltip player_id="1385196" first="Dominic" last="Mckenzie"] - Niagara Falls

One of the most intriguing prospects in NYS is [player_tooltip player_id="1385196" first="Dominic" last="Mckenzie"] from Buffalo. A nonstop motor and a knack for the ball of the glass, Dominic has had multiple games with 20 points and 20 rebounds. Uber athletic Mckenzie dunks every chance he gets, and if he ends up in the right situation and develops a jump shot, this kid could be a sought-after prospect. A prospect we have to keep an eye out for the rest of the season.

43. 6’4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1385201" first="Mason" last="Courtney"] - Shenendehowa

[player_tooltip player_id="1385201" first="Mason" last="Courtney"], who recently committed to the Siena, might be the best shooter in NYS. Courtney requires defenses attention once he crosses halfcourt on a nightly basis. Not just a three-point shooter either, Courtney can get his shot off at any spot in any way. Off the dribble, off the catch, it doesn’t matter this guy gets it done.
