As the class of 2022 plays its senior season, there are some guys who are really taking their games to another level. Prep Hoops updated the rankings for the Class of 2022 on Jan. 31 to recognize the great work of these guys.

Check out seniors who made big moves in the 2022 Rankings (bear in mind that new additions affect the ranking of risers):

[player_tooltip player_id="1195623" first="Grayson" last="Ratzlaff"], 6-foot-7 forward, Hillsboro – 128 to 104 (31 spots):

Ratzlaff is a long and intimidating presence for the ultra-talented defending 2A champs. There aren’t many men with his combination of size and athleticism at the lower-school level. The senior is contributing 12.7 points and 5.8 boards a game. On defensive, he’s active and disruptive, grabbing 2.4 steals per contest. Because the Trojans are so good, Ratzlaff’s stats don’t tell the full story. He has his team rolling toward another shot at the title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1195621" first="Bailey" last="Sides"], 6-foot guard, Northern Valley – 122 to 97 (29 spots):

Sides does it all for the number-two ranked team in 1A Div. I. His stat line of 17.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 4.5 steals for the Huskies is really impressive. Sides earned third-team all state last year and is raising his game to another level of diversity and productivity.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076260" first="Elijah" last="Brooks"], 6-foot-4 guard, Topeka West – 33 to 13 (18 spots):

It’s nearly impossible to jump this much at the top of the list. But Brooks has simply been incredible this season. Two things to watch this year were how Brooks would fare returning from an injury-plagued junior year, and how he would cope with the graduation of running mates Tre Alexander and Marque Wilkerson. Brooks has responded by lifting his game to new heights. He’s averaging about 30 points per game, despite the fact teams are throwing everything at him defensively in hopes to slow him down. Brooks is hitting from the perimeter and scoring in transition, which just augments his incredible ability to score in traffic. Brooks is also an elite rebounder from the guard spot. He recently became the Chargers’ all-time leading scorer, and has the Chargers back in the hunt for a 5A title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1075931" first="Jace" last="Linenberger"], 6-foot-6 center, Hays – 26-24 (3 spots):

It’s tough to move up when you’re already in the upper echelon of the rankings. Linenberger got a bump of three spots, which is noteworthy in the rarified air of the 20s. The big man is averaging 18.6 points and 7.8 rebounds, and has his Indians in the running in 5A.

Others who jumped three spots in the upper level of the rankings include:

[player_tooltip player_id="1139921" first="Jimmy" last="Dorsey"], 6-foot-6 forward, Wellsville – 58 to 58 (3 spots)

[player_tooltip player_id="1195604" first="Jordan" last="Fudge"], 6-foot-8 forward, Frontenac – 59 to 59 (3 spots)
