With Fargo Shanley securing the win over Fargo South 69-63, its time to discuss some of the performances that stuck out from Tuesday nights EDC match-up.

The stand out performance from both teams

[player_tooltip player_id="1128188" first="Conner" last="Kraft"] (Shanley)

Against Fargo South the number one ranked player in the Class of 2023, [player_tooltip player_id="1128188" first="Conner" last="Kraft"], had no problem asserting his dominance. The highly respected Deacon finished the contest scoring 29 points, dishing the ball well, and blocking shots like a North Dakota Mutombo. Kraft also went a perfect 7-7 from the strip, and had two made shots from beyond the arc. At his height with the skillset that he possess, the sky is the limit for this Shanley star.

[player_tooltip player_id="1317710" first="James" last="Hamilton"] (South)

The young sophomore out of Fargo South [player_tooltip player_id="1317710" first="James" last="Hamilton"] had his way with the Deacons on Tuesday night. In the contest he finished with a season-high 34 points, having 12 of those come from the free throw line. The Bruin also rebounded the ball well on both ends and hustled in transition. As just an underclassman, Hamilton has a bright and successful future ahead of him.

Other top performers

[player_tooltip player_id="1123122" first="Tyler" last="Kraft"] (Shanley)

Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1123122" first="Tyler" last="Kraft"] contributed 8 points in the win against the Fargo Bruins. The Concordia Cobber commit made two shots from beyond the arc and added a steal. As the season progresses I believe that the senior will be looked to for leadership as the Deacons approach March.

Jack Pollert (Shanley)

Providing a spark off the bench for Shanley was senior guard Jack Pollert. The Deacon scored 10 points, rebounded well, and was disruptive on the defensive end getting multiple steals. With any successful team comes a strong sixth man, and Pollert plays that role well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1135490" first="Zunekia" last="McGill"] (South)

Senior guard Diamond Mcgill was a key reason that the Bruins were fighting until the end. In the game against Shaley Mcgill had 13 points, was active on the boards, and was a thief on the defensive end. Not to mention that the guard also had multiple made three point shots, and played with energy the entire game. As we approach March, don’t be surprised to see Diamond helping lead the charge for Fargo South.

Dean Grant (South)

Fargo South shooter Dean Grant finished the game against Shanley with 9 points and a couple made shots from the arc. The junior has been near or at the top of the EDC in three point percentage consistently this season, and the Bruins will need that as the end of the regular season begins to loom near.

Honorable Mentions

[player_tooltip player_id="1135486" first="Anthony" last="Wanner"] (Shanley) 6pts, rebounded well, was dominate blocking shots

[player_tooltip player_id="1317328" first="Carter" last="Jaeger"] (Shanley) 5pts, active on the glass, moved the ball well creating scoring opportunities
