We updated the 2022 rankings on the website earlier this week and some new names appear high on the list. In this article, we’ll be featuring the top 5 new names.

[player_tooltip player_id="1195138" first="Brent" last="Moss"], 6’5 SF Lima Sr 2022: Moss is a super athletic wing that is a no brainer scholarship level prospect for Division II and NAIA schools around the area. Moss can fly for alley-oop dunks and block shots. An inconsistent shooter, Moss flashes some potential to be dangerous from the outside. Moss seems like a prospect flying under the radar and I’m not sure why more programs haven’t offered him to this point. A deep run from Lima Sr might be exactly what he needs to be seen by more college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="1195104" first="Jamail" last="Spivey Jr"], 6’1 PG Lutheran East 2022: Spivey is a score first point guard that can get hot in a hurry from downtown. Spivey is lightning quick with the ball in his hands and can create for himself. I’d like to see Spivey become more productive in slowed down settings and really work with budding superstar post [player_tooltip player_id="1222354" first="Jesse" last="McCulloch"]. Lutheran East is one of the top teams in Division III thanks to their guard pairing of Spivey and [player_tooltip player_id="867939" first="Cody" last="Head"] to work with McCulloch. After scoring 25+ PPG with Cornerstone Christian, playing with Lutheran East is a major adjustment to Spivey and one that seems to be clicking at the right time. Lutheran East just got an impressive victory over previously unbeaten Shaker Heights and that trio was a major reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id="1312028" first="Caleb" last="Iheukwu"], 6’5 PF Westerville North 2022: Iheukwu is an intriguing under the radar central Ohio prospect that really flashed at 270 Hoops events this summer. An intriguing athlete that can play both forward positions, Iheukwu and Westerville North have had a solid season in 2021-22. Strong showings against Gahanna and Canal Winchester with 13 and 24 points respectively show just what he’s capable of.

[player_tooltip player_id="921797" first="Sohn" last="McGee"], 6’4 SG Central Crossing 2022: McGee is a player that’s received a lot of buzz from 270 hoops in recent weeks, and for good reason. McGee has led Central Crossing to their best early season record in recent memory as they’ve gone through multiple three game winning streaks already this season. McGee is a powerful athlete who is tough to stop with a head of steam. Keep an eye on McGee if you are looking for a college-ready wing guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="921753" first="Daviyon" last="McDonald"], 6’7 PF Dublin Jerome 2022: McDonald joined Jerome, coming from Dublin rival Coffman for his senior season, and has been a major sparkplug this season. McDonald is a match-up problem in the post with his athleticism and size. With a bunch of shooting and skill for Jerome, McDonald adds a different dynamic to their team. JUCO programs should be taking a close look at McDonald this season to find a player with size and potential.
