When it comes to locating talent across the country there are many publications out there and all of them agree that Nasir Price is a Top 10 talent. Here is more proof in the debate that Texas has some of the best if not the best hoopers in the country. Name: Nasir Price Height: 6'3 Position: Combo Guard Grassroots Team: Houston Hoops Blue Chips Possible High School: Episcopal High School Graduation Year: Class of 2026 Grata opportunity for us to talk with one of the top players in the class of 2026 Nasir Price, who has major game and major goals. Your name has popped up in some of the Top rankings in the country. How have you been taking that? Or, thoughts pn where you were ranked? In my opinion we are too young to determine who's number 1, 2, 3 or whatever when we are in the 8th grade. Honestly, it doesn't really matter, but it is also good to see my name and see that the work that I am putting in is paying off. How has MADE OOPS been so far and what are you learning about yourself? I have loved MADE HOOPS, it has given me the opportunity to play against all the top talent in my class. it is run really well and i played very good in Session 1. My team was shorthanded with no bigs, but no excuses over here, we fought hard. In Session 2 we had our whole team but i was having some leg pain and it effected my play and my teams play as well. I decided to play through the pain and we as a team will come back and play better. What do you think you need to improve moving forward? I think I need to improve my off the dribble shooting. Just my shooting in general. I would also like to improve my on-ball defense and stop reaching for the ball and try and contain my opponent instead of trying to go for steals. I need to practice good habits to prepare me for the next level. I also want to limit my turnovers down the stretch. What are somethings you do when you get frustrated or you don't get the results you want? One thing I do feel that I need to work on is my body language. My body language can be good at times and bad as well. my coach stays on top of me on that. I am always reminded that someone is always watching. I am still learning that basketball is a marathon and not a sprint. What is the local hoop scene like in your area? The local scene in Houston is okay. There is competition from everyone, even the unsponsored teams. Everyone out here will put up a fight. What has basketball taught you that carries over into areas of your life? There are so many things that basketball has taught me about life. The main things is working hard. I never trained for basketball till 6th grade. I never even had a trainer, I just hooped when I lived in St. Louis. When I moved to Texas I started to see all these kids training, it made me want to train too. I started training with Coach Mike Harmon and Brandon Scott. They told me to give them one summer on non-stop work. Now I'm starting to get the weights with Coach John Kennedy, he has helped me a lot. If you don't work hard, you won't prevail. What are somethings that motivate you to get better? Things that motivate me to get better are my mom. When I see my mom not able to do the things she wants or even my sister not being able to do this or that. It really makes me take thins basketball thing to the top, so they won't have to worry about anything. Who are some players you look up to? I look up to Emoni Bates, he is my idol for sure. I love his mentality, that's something I would love to implement into my game. I really see myself in Nass Cunningham that's why I like to watch him. I also like Eric Gains who recently committed to LSU. He plays with a chip on his shoulder. If you weren't playing basketball, what sport would you be playing? Honestly, basketball is me. I don't think I could play any any other sports. If I am not good enough I still want to do something that has to do with basketball. What is your goal? I'm going to be the first in my family to make the NBA.
