Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top standouts from last week’s Stanberry Tournament as the Magical Stream Machine ventured into NWMO territory, where there are some very good small-school prospects. The final day of the tournament was cancelled due to the weather conditions, but we did get a chance to watch the semifinals, via AlbanyTV.

[player_tooltip player_id="984951" first="Tony" last="Osburn"] (Mound City): The 2022 Omaha recruit scored a game-high 40 points in the Panthers’ semifinal victory over Platte Valley. Known as a prolific 3-point shooter, TO diversified his offense in this game as he attacked the basket and scored on layups and pull-up jumpers. He is more than just a sniper. He is a bucket-getter. That is why he has scored more than 2,000 points in his career.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180835" first="Austin" last="Schwebach"] (Stanberry): The 6’5" 2022 forward scored 18 points in Stanberry’s victory over Worth County in the semifinals. He is a load in the paint in his area with his size and athleticism. He has strong moves around the basket, plus he can shoot over the top of anyone. He is also good for at least 10 rebounds a game.

Tyler Schwebach (Stanberry): The 6’3" 2022 combo guard scored 11 points and played an all-around solid floor game against Worth County. While his twin brother Austin controls the action in the paint, Tyler excels on the perimeter with his slashing drives and strong perimeter defense. He also drilled a pretty 3-pointer off the dribble at the first quarter buzzer.

Aydan Gladstone (Worth County): A 6’0" 2022 guard who scored a team-high 17 points in the semifinals against Stanberry. He was very resourceful on the offensive end as he got into the lane and scored on a variety of runners and floaters. He shoots the ball well and he also moves without the basketball to get himself open.

Memphis Bliley (Platte Valley): The 5’11" 2023 guard put in a strong all-around effort in the loss to undefeated Mound City in the semifinals. He scored a team high 20 points on the offense while also having the task to guard star guard [player_tooltip player_id="984951" first="Tony" last="Osburn"] of Mound City. His float game in the lane was very effective as he did a nice job of attacking the basket.

Will Young (Mound City): A 2022 wing who scored 12 points in the semifinal victory over Platte Valley. He’s a solid player who is always in the right position to make plays while also being able to hit open 3-pointers. He rebounds and he passes well and keeps things flowing.
