Julian Alvarez Julian Alvarez 6'0" | SG Pius XI | 2024 State WI Robles – 2024 – G – Pius XI
Alvarez shot the ball really well and hit some back-breaking triples against Raince Park. Pius XI has two go-to scorers on the perimeter. If opponents let Alvarez get loose, he’s gonna burn you. The sophomore guard chipped in with 15 points, all on 3-pointers.
Tre Carothers – 2023 – G – Racine Park
Carothers scored nine points in a loss to Pius XI, but really looked good in some of the shots he hit. The junior guard has a sweet pull-up game that’s very effective with his speed on the ball, getting defenders to backpedal before he rises to shoot. Carothers was also very active defensively. He notched five steals, four rebounds, and two blocks from the guard position and was a big plus when Park went zone.
Noah Howard Noah Howard 5'11" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SG – Lake Country Lutheran
Luke Haertle Luke Haertle 6'2" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI is the straw that stirs the drink, but Howard just continues to quietly be a big x-factor for this undefeated team. He’s not flashy and does command a lot of attention, but Howard just seems to make every right play on the floor. Haertle gets so much attention and you often see Howard make opponents pay for that. Howard chipped in with 16 points, two assists, and two steals in a win over Waukesha South. The senior had a couple of timely buckets that helped the Lightning hang onto the lead in crunch time.
Nolan Minessale Nolan Minessale 6'5" | SF Marquette | 2024 State WI – 2024 – W – Marquette
Minessale came up with 24 points in a loss to Homestead. A long and skilled prospect, Minessale can do a variety of different things on the floor. Like the way he cuts into the paint and gets himself into high percentage areas. The 6-foot-5 sophomore finished really well on the move and in traffic. Minessale did a lot of damage in transition on Saturday as well. Minessale got some 1-on-1 opportunities in the open floor and won those head-to-head battles decisively. Minessale also contributed six rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the loss.
Adam Riese – 2022 – SG – Homestead
Riese didn’t shoot the ball as well as he would have liked, but it didn’t take away from the other aspects of his game. He still finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in a win over Marquette. Riese goes above and beyond on the glass for a guard. Quietly having a very productive season, Riese is giving the Highlanders, who feature a deep and balanced lineup, 14 points six boards per game. He’s also shooting the ball at a high clip from 3-point range this season, taking some of the burden off Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI .
Marshawn Robinson Marshawn Robinson 6'3" | SG Waukesha South | 2022 State WI – 2022 – SG – Waukesha South
Robinson came off the bench for the Blackshirts, but pretty much played the rest of the way. The St. Leo commit scored 18 points in a loss to a very good Lake Country Lutheran team. Robinson plays more of a facilitator role in the high school season than he does in AAU and definitely doesn’t get enough credit for his passing ability and floor vision. St. Leo is getting a lot of value here in Robinson. A strong all-around athlete with plus length, Robinson contributes as a scorer, facilitator, rebounder, and defender.
