He knocked down several big time three point shots in overtime which was much needed when his team was having a slight scoring drought.
First Flight HS Junior Guard Isaac Dobie Isaac Dobie 6'3" | SG First Flight | 2023 State NC : His ability to knock down perimeter shots is an attribute that we have seen in past years and in this matchup he made several treys to help team. However what impressed us the most was his abilty to put the ball on the floor and score when he attacks the paint, which is something he did consistenly throughout the evening.
Camden County Senior Guard Andre Barnett: We really liked what he brought for his team throughout the night and how he was able to make some plays to give them a chance to win down the stretch. He has advanced ball handling skills, a nice IQ for the game, and is not scared to step up and take some big time shots when the game is on the line.
Pine Forest HS Sophomore Guard Darris Simmons Darris Simmons 5'10" | SG Pine Forest | 2024 NC : His outstanding offensive ability was on display once again in their matchup with TS. He knocked down shots from outside and has a quick first step that he uses to blow by defenders when he wants to get the cup. The ability he has to score over taller opponents is also an attribute that shouldn’t be overlooked, he has a floater that he goes to consistently that doesn’t get blocked or altered often.
Pine Forest HS Senior Guard Chamond Williams Chamond Williams 5'8" | PG Pine Forest | 2022 State NC : He put together an impressive week of games this week but Thursday may have been his best overall game of the season. Using his speed and ball handling skills to break down defenders and get into the paint at a high rate, he was able to make plays for himself and others which only helped to extend the lead for his team.
