Fourth ranked combo guard in the state, C.J. Luster C.J. Luster C.J. Luster 6'3" | CG TACA Storm | 2022 State TX , has been on a tear for some time now, averaging 17 points per game while shooting over 54% from deep while on his way to ending his high school career with a bang. In December, Luster was consistently outstanding, but his most impressive performance may have been the day he went berserk and played like a man on a mission, dropping 20 points alone in the third quarter on a perfect 100% shooting from three-point range, going 6-of-6 and nailing both of his free-throw attempts. Luster continues to prove himself as a pure sharpshooter with consistent and unlimited range from all around the perimeter, alongside his deadly quick trigger. Anytime this man is allowed to set his feet, he was sure to knock down the jumper whether he was contested, wide open, or off-balance. This elite guard has been displaying an insanely perfect stroke off the catch, staying on his toes at all times, rising with great elevation, and finishing the shot with a high release, an excellent follow-through, and a speedy rotation on the ball.

Tre’Lin Green | Point Guard | Lewisville HS | C/o ’22 (Unsigned)

Whenever you watch Tre’Lin Green compete you’ll quickly realize he’s a point guard with an unwavering, limitless high motor, and energy that is contagious enough to rub off on all of his teammates and even the fans in attendance. While facing off against the Byron Nelson Bobcats, Green shined bright as day, playing defense like a man that heavily game-planned for his assignments, giving one of 2023’s top-ranked shooting guard’s problems, all thanks to his hellacious defensive skills, instincts, and hunger for the ball. This Lewisville lead guard is one of the most amazing one-on-one defenders in the city, if not the entire state. Green was phenomenal at staying in front of opposing ball handlers, beating his man to the spot, usually resulting in a charge or an on-ball steal. When I say that Tre'Lin Green is a true defensive specialist, I mean it. On the offensive end of things, Green showcased a killer hesi right to left pullback crossover that sent defenders flying in the opposite direction, creating plenty of space for him to get a clean jumpshot up. He also displayed dangerous open court speed and acceleration, anytime Green pushed the ball in transition he was destined to touch the paint and produce an assist or get the bucket himself with either hand. Tre’Lin Green is a prospect to keep eyes on, he has been considered one of the most underrated players in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for some time now.

Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia 6'1" | PG Faith West Academy | 2022 TX | Combo Guard | Katy Faith West Academy | C/o ’22 (Unsigned)

Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia 6'1" | PG Faith West Academy | 2022 TX put up an efficient 16.2 points per game throughout the month of December with four 20-point performances, three of those coming in back-to-back-to-back games. Garcia has shown the potential to become an effective combo guard at the college level due to his remarkable abilities to score and contribute in multiple ways. Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia Caleb Garcia 6'1" | PG Faith West Academy | 2022 TX is currently leading the Faith West Eagles in points and steals with averages of 18 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game. When looking to produce his own shot off the bounce, Garcia often did it within the flow of things and without the use of a screen. The way Garcia maneuvers around tight defense is a thing of beauty. He may not be the fastest or quickest player on the floor but his ball moves are always very precise and seem well-polished. This senior prospect has a controlled shiftiness, he never over-dribbles and makes sure that every bounce leads him past a defender, particularly when he’s changing directions and attacking his opponent’s weak side hip. Garcia’s shot selections have been great as well, you have to admire the way he exploits every inch of open space the defense gives him.

Jacob Armant | Point Guard | Arlington HS | C/o ’22 (Unsigned)

This hard-working gym rate has been showing out all season. Jacob Armant is a truly traditional point guard with a pure knack for creating off the dribble, not only for himself but for others as well. Armant constantly looks to set up his teammates first, this young man loves to put pressure on the basket with the intent to draw the defense’s attention in order to kick the ball out to open teammates, showing a great feel for the game, a high basketball IQ, elite court vision, pinpoint accuracy, not to mention his phenomenal footwork matched with electric blowby speed and quickness. When looking to score, Jacob, obliterated the defense anytime they decided to sag off, proving to be nearly automatic when allowed to get a clear view of the hoop. Leaving this man open for a three-pointer is the worst choice you could possibly make, his quick trigger flick of the wrist is lethal, his jumper is consistent, and he’s unphased by defenders flying at him. Jacob Armant is often the smallest player on the court but his game always stands out bigger than most.

Xavier Cato Xavier Cato Xavier Cato 6'0" | PG South Oak Cliff | 2024 TX | Point Guard | South Oak Cliff HS | C/o ’24

Top-10 point guard in the state, Xavier Cato Xavier Cato Xavier Cato 6'0" | PG South Oak Cliff | 2024 TX is a rising DFW star that put on fantastic showings against the Lancaster Tigers and crosstown rivals Kimball Knights, two of the best high school basketball programs in Dallas, Texas. This master shot-creator couldn’t be contained even by the best defenders on the court. Cato displayed top-notch handles and constantly made plays that seemed flat-out unguardable at times. His stop and start ability along with his change of direction skills were a marvelous work of art, the ball skills Xavier displayed kept him out of bad situations, giving him the space needed to see the entire floor properly. This sophomore prospect has 101 moves in his arsenal that are all effective enough to stop defenders dead in their tracks and allow him to get to the rack or to an open spot in the mid-range area where he was absolutely deadly especially from the elbows and short corner. As usual, Xavier Cato Xavier Cato Xavier Cato 6'0" | PG South Oak Cliff | 2024 TX penetrated the lane at will, completing plays with both hands while scoring through and around traffic with ease due to his great body control in mid-air. A very efficient bucket getter that made the most out of his opportunities in both games. On the defensive end, Cato display very smooth pick-pocket instincts combined with terrific hands and eyes, cleanly, quickly, and easily ripping opposing players multiple times, pushing the pace, and always starting and finishing the fastbreak.
