2022’s: Solid Seniors

<p>Today we will look at some of those in the senior class that have been rock solid pieces to their programs and schools and offer up a little bit of everything to help their teams be successful. These guys may not get as much shine as some of their teammates but they are pivotal to their success.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1139929" first="Zach" last="Clark"], 6’4 W, Cair Paravel: A solid shooter and versatile defender, Clark is a great perimeter piece to go along with big man [player_tooltip player_id="1076408" first="Noah" last="Hastert"]. Is averaging 14.3 points an 4.5 rebounds per game. Has good size, knocks down timely shots, and can space the floor. Currently shooting 49% from the field and his season is highlighted with a 22 point performance on 10 of 13 from the field.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Caden Acosta, 6’1 W, Solomon: Typically highlighted with their talented younger guards at Solomon, Acosta has been a steady hand for them during this season. The senior guard is averaging 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. A strong bodied player and a really solid defender for Solomon, brings them some physicality.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ledjor Rowden, 6’ G, Wamego: Rowden has been a great complimentary guard to [player_tooltip player_id="1140375" first="Jake" last="Fritz"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1268820" first="Burk" last="Springer"], filling that role as another reliable perimeter player. Has come up big for them in a ton of big games this season. Currently averaging 11.1 points, 2 rebounds, and over a steal per game. Has been a sneaky X-Factor for them, in the games he has been really efficient in, Wamego has seen some great results.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="952447" first="Carson" last="Kieffer"], 6’1 PG, Hays (Pictured): Paired with some really talented wings and forwards, Kieffer’s play makes sure the engine runs smoothly. A true floor general, and plays complete games at the point guard spot. Averaging 10.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. Is a hard nosed tough point guard that leads the attack at a high level and defends at a high level.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076401" first="Koen" last="Hula"], 6’4 F, Council Grove: Hula has shown this year that he can influence games in a variety of ways. Has been a focal point and staple of what Council Grove has based their success on for 4 years now and his senior campaign has been more of the same. Loading up the stat sheet across the board averaging a near double double at 10 points and 9 rebounds per game while also averaging 5.6 assists per game. One of the best charge taking big man in the state of Kansas as well and brings all the winning intangibles with him.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Gavin Williams, 6’5 F, Hugoton: A big bodied and physical forward that pair up nicely with the talented guards on the roster. Provides them some solid inside scoring at 56% from the field this season and a very tough rebounder at over 6 per game. Solid on the defensive end of the floor as well with great hands and help in rotation. Averages almost 2 blocks per game.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="946261" first="Garrett" last="Lynch"], 6’4 F, St James: The Thunder are off and running this season, and with the prime time performers on the roster, Lynch is one of the glue guys that has helped put it all together for them in their big wins. Plays with a tremendous motor and impacts the game both on and off the stat sheer. Averaging 6.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="891908" first="Jameer" last="Clemons"], 6’ G, Derby: The Panthers have been battiling back through a ton of early season adversity and a tough schedule to get to above .500 on the year, and one of their senior guards has been a big reason why. Keeping the ship steady game in and out. Is an athletic and quick guard who plays well off the bounce and can get to the foul line and make it count. Is shooting over 80% from the foul line.</p>
