In the first game, host Webster Groves defeated Miller Career Academy 89-56. Staley defeated Confluence Prep 71-36 in the second semifinals. Webster and Staley will play for the championship today at 4 p.m.
Here is a look at the Starting Five from Friday Night’s semifinals action. Will have more detailed write-ups on the prospects from the tournament next week.
B.J. Stewart 6’4″ Lee’s Summit North: The 2022 power forward was an absolute grown man in the Broncos victory over Riverview Gardens in the consolation semifinals. He scored 28 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in a big display of inside dominance. He is one of the elite rebounders in the state. He has a high motor, a quick second and third jump and an insane desire to get every rebound he can get his hands on.
Gianni Ferentinos 6’3″ Webster Groves: The 2024 guard was the top shooter on the evening as he scored 20 points in the Statesmen’s victory over Career Academy in the semifinals. He finished with 20 points and made a tournament-high six 3-pointers in the game. He’s tough and he competes hard and he made a number of nice hustle plays to go along with his shooting.

6’4″ Webster Groves: The big-bodied 2024 forward scored 17 points in the semifinal victory over Confluence. He is a very skilled player with a nice combination of power and finesse in his game. The lefty has quick feet and nice post moves and a nice touch around the basket. He can also take his game on the perimeter to knock down 3-pointers and beat defenders off the dribble. He really got his team going in the first half.
Asa Bridges 5’10″ Staley: The 2022 guard scored a game-high 17 points in the Falcons victory over Confluence in the semifinals. On a team with a number of Division I prospects, he is a solid guard who takes care of the ball and doesn’t make mistakes. He can also shoot the basketball. He was lights out on Friday night as he made five 3-pointers as he had a chance to take a turn in the spotlight.
Cavoll Love Jr. 6’3″ Riverview Gardens: The 2022 guard took home high scoring honors for the day as he scored 32 points in the consolation semifinals against Lee’s Summit North. He’s a hidden gem in St. Louis with a versatile array of offensive skills. In the first half, he used his athleticism to attack the rim and finish inside. In the second half, he went to the perimeter and hit four 3-pointers.
