Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top Class of 2022 stock risers from last weekend’s early-season tournament action.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180548" first="Josh" last="Barlow"] 6’4" Hollister: The talented wing player was the Most Valuable Player of the Forsyth Tournament after leading Hollister to a berth in the championship game. He scored a game-high 30 points in the championship game against Gaineville. He is a smooth bucket-getter who can get his points anywhere on the floor. His mid-range game is excellent and he can score inside against smaller defenders and hit the 3-pointer as well. He also plays very well without the basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180102" first="Malcolm" last="Davis"] 6’1" Helias: The Mid-Mo bucket-getter averaged 29 points in three games at the Arvest Classic to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Malcolm has been a been a major threat from long distance throughout his career, but he has developed his entire offensive repertoire over the past three years. His mid-range game is strong and he uses his strong body to power into the lane for layups and short jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050173" first="Ethan" last="Whatley"] 6’3" Ozark: The senior wing led Ozark to a berth in the championship game of the Republic Tournament for the second consecutive season. He plays with a tremendous motor on the offensive end as he attacks at every opportunity and he can finish well inside at a variety of angles. He can also stop and pop from the perimeter. His production and effort are always consistent and he gets the results.

Ade Popoola 6’5" Parkway North: The athletic wing averaged 27 points in three games at the Gerald Linneman Parkway Tip-Off last week, including a 38-point outing against Parkway South in the finale. He has a nice combination of explosive athleticism and the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. He shot just under 50 percent from 3-point range during the weekend and he also threw down a few entertaining dunks in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id="1180628" first="Jakorie" last="Terrill"] 6’3 Slater: The athletic wing was one of the top performers at the Glasgow Tournament. He earned All Tournament Team honors after averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds in three games. He’s an excellent slashing threat with a quick first step and the ability to finish in the lane. He also used his athleticism to impact play on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="1010547" first="Gavin" last="Davis"] 6’4" Willard: The combo forward earned a spot on the All Tournament Team at Willard after helping his team to a berth in the championship game. He was excellent in the championship game against Bolivar with 18 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. He’s a high-motor kid who attacks the boards and can score inside. He also stepped out and displayed a nice shooting touch from 3-point range.
