Tarkanian Classic Standouts (Part 2)

<p><strong>6’11 [player_tooltip player_id="969630" first="Bron" last="Roberts"] || Timpanogos High School  || 2023 ||</strong></p> <p>Having a team front you and help backside almost every time he is in a position to get a touch Bron is starting to go to the ball from the block to the mid-post. He is keeping the ball high and he is making quick moves over his left shoulder. He might not get all the touches he needs to really pop on the scoring column but he is attracting a lot of attention that gets other players free on rolls and on the block. Defensively in a zone he was able to roam around and cover a lot of ground. </p> <p><strong>6’9 W [player_tooltip player_id="967725" first="Jaxon" last="Heiden"] || Alta High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Jaxon has some potential next level ability with the way he can roam around and guard multiple defenders out in the perimeter. Nice little right to left jab that gives him some space to get to the basket. He’s got some great post counters and his agility allows him to make some difficult catches and he can finish on those tough looks around the rim. One of the more intriguing unsigned prospects that could end up t the D1 level. </p> <p><strong>6’5 G [player_tooltip player_id="968087" first="Tyler" last="Newbold"] || Bingham High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="968087" first="Tyler" last="Newbold"] has really transformed his game. Tyler went from an undersized SF. to a prospect that can be a serviceable player running 1-3. He has become a ball handling guard for the Miners as he was huge down the stretch as he propelled a big victory as he hit a lefty hook in the paint against a taller defender and he also his a big three pointer in the 2nd OT. Really like the way his game is developing. Could be a solid NWAC find. </p> <p><strong>6’2 G [player_tooltip player_id="968782" first="Koy" last="Berge"] || Timpview High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Koy had a great game and showed some awesome quick witted and decision making as he was in the flow of the game hitting shots within the offense. Koy is a solid prospect. </p> <p><strong>6’9 C [player_tooltip player_id="969251" first="Colby" last="Dean"] || Pleasant Grove High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <p>Colby might not produce a lot on the offensive end and he is still raw but Colby has improved and a lot of it is on the defensive end with simple presence and with the movement from side to side that he has improved in. Saw him in a 1-3-1 and he looked good in the middle covering ground. He is a prospect that still needs development but could be a nice piece for a small NWAC school. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
