I’ve been monitoring and attending games across South Florida with more to see this week. Let’s take a look at prospects that have earned recognition.

Jordan Glass - Fort Lauderdale

2022 Jordan Glass finished with 19 points and knocked down four 3-pointers in a victory over Coral Springs Charter. Moreover, the senior prospect tallied an impressive nine steals. Glass is a quick defender with good vision on the defensive side. He uses his lateral movement well to put pressure on the ball. Glass worked hard on his game over the summer. 2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1139735" first="Ramez" last="Zayed"] also had 31 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. It’s a good start for new head coach Stefan Whittingham.

[player_tooltip player_id="709256" first="Jamai" last="Hager-Tejada"] - Miami Northwestern

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709256" first="Jamai" last="Hager-Tejada"] has averaged 23 points and five rebounds through two games for the Bulls. The 5-foot-11 guard had 21 points and five rebounds in a 23-point victory over Westminster Christian. Hager-Tejada is an aggressive guard that can score from all three levels. He provides a punch to this offense after transferring from Mater Lakes Academy. Camari Austin added 16 points. The 6-foot-4 forward can slash and score away from the basket. It’s a good start for legendary head coach Melvin Randall.

[player_tooltip player_id="962498" first="Daniel" last="Fernandez"] - Westminster Christian

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="962498" first="Daniel" last="Fernandez"] scored 29 of the Warriors’ 57 points against the Bulls. The 6-foot point guard has been a consistent scorer from the jump for Westminster Christian. Fernandez uses his frame well near the rim to score. He operates at a steady pace while keeping you guessing with the basketball in his hands. I would say Fernandez is fundamentally sound. I’ve been impressed with him ever since his days at Belen Jesuit. He was a tough kid then and is a tough kid now.
