The Orlando Health Hoopfest hosted at Windermere Prep under the supervision of Coach Brian Hoff had big time matchups. We will break down the coverage of the 12 team slate into two categories: home and away. The home group has high-level shooters, a freshman to watch, and an athletic unsigned 2022 prospect that needs more attention. Without further ado, let’s get into our standouts.

Santa Fe Catholic

St. Leo’s got a steal in 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829403" first="Trey" last="Lane"]. He’s a skilled scoring guard that plays the game as hard as anyone on the court. Lane has volleyball line range while also being a strong driver. On the defensive end, he has the closing speeds to jump passing lanes and finish in transition. He’s an overall tough player that does what he needs to win.

The guard already has a nice feel for the game on offense. He knocked down a corner 3 and attacked closeouts for floaters.

Ezequiel Munoz shaped the flow of this without a big role in the offense. The 6’2 junior took four charges, including two in the fourth quarter. He’s a tough player. He scored in the mid-range and made a nice drive and kick assist.

Tallahassee Chiles

Carter Quiggins showed deep range in his double-digit day. Quiggins hit three threes beyond the college line off the catch. The senior is a good half court passer and decision-maker.

Parker Bell hit four of his seven attempts from three. He knocked down 5 of his eight attempts from the field, including two from the wing and two from the corner. Bell uses his solid frame to lead the team with 8 rebounds a night.

Lakewood Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id="829435" first="Andres" last="Junge"] came into the Windermere showdown after a 40 point game. The 6’4 senior didn’t post the same numbers, but displayed many of the reasons he did. Junge is an athletic forward that can finish plays from the dunker spot, throw passes like darts, and guard up and down the lineup.

Bishop Snyder

At 6’9 [player_tooltip player_id="955595" first="Manok" last="Lual"] displayed polished post moves on his 17 point performance. The senior is still growing into his body, but moves with fluidity. Length and springs on his legs made him a stellar shot-blocker and rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="546242" first="Jalen" last="Gilmore"] controlled the game from the top. The pace was dictated by the 6’3 senior guard. He’s a crafty finisher that finishes around size. Gilmore is currently the team’s leading scorer at 16 points a game and only averaging a 1 TO a game as a lead guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="956766" first="Moise" last="Balungu"] looks like a middle linebacker on the court. He’s a big, strong guard that can get downhill at will. Balungu has a surprising handle that helps slash his way to the rim. He’s more of a straight-line driver but has a spin move that allows him to shred defenders. The unsigned senior is physical with the body control needed to finish through contact.

At 6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="1065412" first="Trent" last="Walker"] has great size for the combo guard spot. He’s a bit of a Swiss Army knife that contributes in any way you ask him.

Lincoln

[player_tooltip player_id="1065463" first="Jaylen" last="Auston"] Robinson brings shooting to the combo guard position. The 6’3 guard hit several mid-range jumpers going left. Between his ability to score off pull-ups, fadeaways, and a three for 12 points. He’s a sturdy guard that can play through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="1065465" first="Bryce" last="Cummings"] is a 6’4 athlete. The senior plays more off-ball than his backcourt team, using his body to get to the cup. He physically looks the part. Cummings can step out and hit the three but lives at the rim as a cutter/slasher with next-level athleticism.

Dr. Phillips was firing on all cylinders, giving us another total performance. [player_tooltip player_id="814902" first="Ernest" last="Udeh"] Jr. was a beast finishing above the rim, getting double-digit boards, and blocking four shots. [player_tooltip player_id="829411" first="Riley" last="Kugel"] was his normal explosive self while hitting shots on all levels. [player_tooltip player_id="546239" first="Denzel" last="Aberdeen"] is a two-way playmaker. [player_tooltip player_id="1055794" first="Jordan" last="Tillery"] continues to play above his size, effectively playing the power forward spot as a 6-4 wing with overwhelming athleticism and toughness. [player_tooltip player_id="1161427" first="Jackson" last="Slater"] is one of the best unsigned floor generals in Florida’s 2022 class. Slater rarely turns the ball over and hits shots from the mid and long range.
