The South Florida season is underway. Which South Florida prospects have been lighting things up through four or five games?

Let’s take a look...

[player_tooltip player_id="829477" first="Kevin" last="Pazmino"] - Cypress Bay

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829477" first="Kevin" last="Pazmino"] is off to a fantastic start for the Lightning. The 6-foot-5 guard has shot 51 percent from deep through four games. This comes as little surprise to me as Pazmino is highly efficient. He can put the ball on the floor and move around on the perimeter. For whatever reason, his name has just begun to surface. He scored 25 points in a victory over Miami Country Day. 5-foot-10 guard Maxwell Gordon is another player off to a good start. Gordon is averaging 12.2 points and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 41 percent from deep. I believe a high-academic D3 would be happy to have him.

[player_tooltip player_id="955795" first="Gabriel" last="Gaspard"] - North Miami

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="955795" first="Gabriel" last="Gaspard"] has played well for his new team. The 6-foot-2 guard spent last season with Dr. Krop. Gaspard had 24 points and ten rebounds against Hialeah. Against Somerset Academy, he scored 19 points and six rebounds. Against American, Gaspard had 21 points and six assists. Those are three solid games from him. Gaspard is a solid rebounder and knows how score around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1301788" first="Dante" last="Allen"] - Riviera Prep

2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301788" first="Dante" last="Allen"] has been solid for the Bulldogs in his freshman season. The 6-foot-5 guard can shoot in the halfcourt or transition. I’ve been impressed with Allen’s poise and confidence through a handful of games. He does not seem fazed. Miami has shown interest.

[player_tooltip player_id="829402" first="Houston" last="Culpepper"] - Stranahan

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829402" first="Houston" last="Culpepper"] is averaging 14.8 points and 9.3 rebounds (4.8 offensive) through four games. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound forward scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds against Wellington at the Kreul Classic. In addition, two of his four games have been double-doubles. Culpepper has been efficient around the rim. I like that he plays physical and never gives up on 50/50 balls. You can see that from his number on the offensive glass. I think Culpepper is on a mission this season.
