This article will break down the top players I saw on Sunday at Lima Senior for Coach Q’s Keewpee’s Holiday Classic.

BJ Hatcher (2025): G, 6’1. Dayton Dunbar

BJ Hatcher is a player. He had 17 points on Sunday against Rossford. He has a knack for scoring. He handles the ball well and can shoot it. Whenever Hatcher was left open he made Rossford pay. He made some very tough finishes. He has great chemistry with senior guard Darian Leslie and capitalizes on his passes a lot but the freshman knows how to score the ball. He is definitely someone to keep an eye on as he develops.

Derrick Vorst (2023): F, 6’7. Rossford

Derrick Vorst is a name to remember. Vorst is a 6’7 long forward that is a junior for Rossford. He posts very hard and the guards of Rossford feed him. When he gets it he makes great quick moves. He is right-hand dominant and will need to be more effective with the left at the next level. He had a sneaky good ability to pass out of the post to wide-open shooters. Vorst also attacks the glass hard on both ends of the floor as well, which led to one putback dunk on Sunday. Vorst had a couple of powerful two-handed dunks, too. His length was on full display against Dayton Dunbar as he altered many shots and blocked several. Derrick finished the game with 27 points and had all but 3 of Rossford's first half points.

[player_tooltip player_id="921755" first="Camren" last="Miles"] (2022): G, 6’3. Lima Senior

[player_tooltip player_id="921755" first="Camren" last="Miles"] is a matured player both physically and mentally. He has a great build and is ready for any situation as he has played under Coach Quincy Simpson for years at Lima and with C2K during AAU. Miles is great in transition as his big body clears the lane and has a great ability to finish with both hands. He attacks the glass hard on both ends so he gets some sneaky points. He has a good ability to jab, rip, and drive. Miles is known for his defensive ability. He gets into your shorts for the entire game and lets you know immediately it will be a long game for anybody. His build and athleticism give him the ability to guard multiple positions and he does it highly effective.

[player_tooltip player_id="921790" first="Jareon" last="Mayo"] (2022): G, 6’3. Lima Senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="921790" first="Jareon" last="Mayo"] is a strong player for Lima Senior. He has a wide frame, is athletic, and is long. He plays hard defensively and is not afraid to pressure you full court. He can score it too. He is a great shooter and has a lot of confidence to go along with it. He has sneaky good finishing ability. He also has a good pull-up game which gives him the ability to score on all three levels. Mayo had a quiet but efficient 15 points for Lima on Sunday against Sylvania Northview.
