<p>The GIBT is a eight team tournament. Each team is guaranteed three games. Gridley is a small, rural farming town located about 50 miles north of Sacramento. The first year of the tournament was 1953, making it one of the longest standing tournaments in Northern California. Many of the top teams are chosen for this event. Five of the eight teams are ranked in the top 10 in Northern California. Campolindo, Archbishop Riordan, De La Salle, Sacramento, Dublin, Sheldon, Salesian, and the host Gridley were the participants. Here’s the All-Tournament Team.</p>

<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="766840" first="Aidan" last="Mahaney"] 6’3 guard of Campolindo HS 2022</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Mahaney</strong> </em>has already committed to play at St. Mary’s next year. He was the top player at this event loaded with talent. He took over the game in the 3rd quarter of a semi-final game with 13pts, to help settle and lead this team to the Championship. In 3 games he averaged, 17.6pts, 4.3 asts. </p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1118939" first="Cade" last="Bennett"] 6’1 guard of Campolindo HS. 2022</strong></em></p>
<p>He’s become Mr. Steady as he’s been leading this team now on a 21 game winning streak dating back to last season. His tenacious on ball defense, help in the passing lanes and willingness to find a body and help with the team rebounding were noticeable. His timely shot making helped lead this team to the title. His value to this team goes beyond the stat line. 4pts, 4 rebs, 4 stls.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="950742" first="King" last="Wilhite"] 6’1 Guard of Archbishop Riordan HS. 2023</strong></em></p>
<p> <em><strong>Wilhite</strong> </em>has found out he needs to score points to help this team. He can handle and pass when needed, but his ability to shoulder the scoring will help. He repeatedly beat his man off the dribble from different angles, maneuvered his way into the paint for floaters, and paint jumpers, he took on contact, and hit a couple of timely 3-ptrs. 16.3pts, 4.3asts. </p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1241755" first="Antonio" last="Pusateri"] 6’7 Wing of Archbishop Riordan HS 2022</strong></em></p>
<p>He was a surprise all-tournament selection. He did play well in stretches of games. His activity and bounce were noticeable. He gets out and runs the court pretty well looking to finish above the rim. He’s long with good foot speed to defend on the wings and guard in the post. 6pts, 3rebs. </p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1254019" first="John" last="Semany"] 6’0 Point guard of De La Salle HS. 2022</strong></em></p>
<p>A good ball handling guard who’s been playing consistent basketball for a while now. He does a good job setting the team in half-court sets. His patience up top, passing skills and decision making has led this team thus far. He showed us he can knock down 3-ptrs when left alone, and make free throws late in the game. In three games he averaged 14.3pts,3asts, 2stls.</p>
<p><em><strong>Alec Blair 6’5 Guard of De La Salle HS. 2025</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Blair</strong> </em>is one of the top Freshman in California. His ability to effect the game as a first year high school player can’t go unnoticed. He handles the ball as much as any of his teammates. He rebounds and pushes the break, using his size and handles to get into the paint where he’ll use his length to shoot over you or kick it out to open shooters. He averaged 12.3pts, and 8.3 rebounds in three games.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1119253" first="Ben" last="Roseborough"] 6’4 Guard of Sacramento HS. 2024</strong></em></p>
<p>The #3 player in PH 2024 rankings showed us why he’s one of the top players in his class in California. First and foremost he makes shots. He sets his feet quickly, and has a good release up top, along with long range accuracy. He shows patience for a shooter, and gets more aggressive after involving teammates. 27pts, 3.4astss, 3rebs.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="950890" first="Courtney" last="Anderson"] Jr. 6’5 Guard of Dublin HS. 2023</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Anderson</strong> </em>the #2 ranked player in the Prep Hoop 2023 Class is showing his capabilities as a scoring guard. He was the top scorer for the tournament coming close to breaking the scoring record of (105) he had 97 in 3 games. averaging 32.3pts. <em><strong>Anderson</strong> </em>is progressing nicely as he gains more confidence in his skills, and strength in using his athleticism. He scored in many ways, and played good defense up top using his length.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1254870" first="Rashaud" last="Bradley"] 6’4 Wing of Sheldon HS 2022</strong></em></p>
<p>He’s no stranger to slashing and dashing his way to the basket for points. He’s been working on the perimeter lately but his effect is mostly working in the paint area. He runs the court in transition, plays tough defense on the perimeter, but he’ll dominate at times in the paint with his strength, and ability to take on the bigs at 6’4. 10.3pts, 6.6rebs. He had a double-double. </p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="950886" first="Tyler" last="Harris"] 6’7 Wing of Salesian Prep HS. 2023</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Harris</strong> </em>is the #1 player in the Prep Hoops 2023 Class. He’s loaded with next level tools. He’s a long kind of position-less player who effects the game with what he can do. He handles and passes, with vision to succeed as a facilitator. He’s long with good bounce to be an effective scorer in the paint. He’ll block and change shots. In three games he averaged 11.3pts, 5rebs, and 2blocks. </p>
