Maple Mountain vs. Cedar Valley

Both of these teams anticipated the season opener and we got some good play from multiple players on the floor. Two fo Cedar Valley’s best prospects played okay but it just wasn’t enough. Jackson Rose hit double-figures and [player_tooltip player_id="1116094" first="Cole" last="Roberts"] couldn’t fully get going this game. Maple Mountain got excellent play from Bennett Averett and Sam Persson whom both scored in double-figures

Timpanogos vs. Provo

Timpanogos finally got it going this game as they had 4 players score the ball well. [player_tooltip player_id="968772" first="Jaxon" last="Vanchiere"] has been solid in two straight games. [player_tooltip player_id="969630" first="Bron" last="Roberts"] got going a bit more in this game as did [player_tooltip player_id="1207026" first="Mason" last="Faux"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1201646" first="Jacob" last="Norman"]. On the other side Provo had Linclon Johnson and [player_tooltip player_id="1198726" first="Joe" last="Larbie"] really pace the the Provo Bulldogs in this game, but it just wasn’t enough.

American Fork vs. Taylorsville

American Fork showed no mercy as they jumped out to a 22-4 lead after the first quarter and they kept Taylorsville to under 6 points per quarter in the first three quarters. They put the JV squad in the 4th and they still outscored Taylorsville 25-16. American Fork is deep like always and there is some talent out there on the Eastside of Utah County. PG [player_tooltip player_id="934491" first="Evan" last="Young"] looked great as he could basically do what he wanted in this game as he hit 6 three-pointers as Taylorsville likes to sit in a zone. Yaw Reener was solid and [player_tooltip player_id="969235" first="Ashton" last="Wallace"] had a good game. Teams need to be cautions when playing a zone against AF.

Timpview vs. Ridgeline

A lot fo good takeaways in this game. The first one is that Ridgeline is good and they will be a problem in 4A. We had also mentioned before that [player_tooltip player_id="967688" first="Peyton" last="Knowles"] is as solid as they come as a SF that is a bit undersized, but he makes up for it with his motor. [player_tooltip player_id="934474" first="Kaden" last="Cox"] will only get better as they continue to play. The next part of the takeaways on the Timpview side is that they will get some excellent play from various players on the roster. They were able to seal the victory on a last second shot that could’ve gone the other way. Truman Burningham and James Oldroyd have been solid in these early two games. Timpview will fight and claw against anyone.
