Recruiting Report: Best Available 2022’s

<p>With the Early Signing Period coming to a close, let’s take a look at some of the top available local prospects still on the board. </p> <p>Richard Isaacs Jr. <em>6’2 PG Coronado (#1PHN)</em> - Isaacs is a scoring PG and a top 100 national player. His de-commitment from Texas Tech has re-opened his recruiting, making him one of the more valuable targets left on the board. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076670" first="William" last="Benjamin Jr"] <em>6’0 CG Las Cruces 2022 (NM) (#2PHNM 2022)</em> - Benjamin is a two-way combo that puts pressure on defenses with his speed and explosion and pressures offenses with his quick hands and instincts. He currently holds offers from Florida International, New Mexico St, and Little Rock.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076677" first="Jose" last="Murillo"] <em>6’9 PF Highland (NM) (#5PHNM)</em> - Athletic Big man with the chance to be an elite rim protector and defender at the next level. Murillo changes ends well and can play above the rim in transition. He currently holds an offer from D2 Western New Mexico. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1220975" first="Tavionte" last="Jackson"] <em>6’1 PG Las Vegas (NV) (#5PHN)</em> - Jackson is a PG supreme. He has one of the slickest handles on the west coast, and a wiggle that allows him to get anywhere on the floor. An unselfish passer that makes the game easier for everyone around him, Jackson holds an offer from Siena.  </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076675" first="Jakwon" last="Hill"] <em>6’0 CG Volcano Vista (NM) (#3PHNM)</em> - Hill is a dynamic scorer that creates for himself off the bounce. He has a quick first step, and mid-range game, allowing him to finish in the paint with a variety of shots. The combo currently holds an offer from Northern New Mexico. If he piggybacks his breakout summer with a strong high school season, expect more to come. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076685" first="Tainui" last="Taiaroa"] <em>6’6 SG ABC Prep (NM) (#6PHNM)</em> - Versatile playmaker that can help a team in multiple ways. When his shot goes in, his value goes up. Taiaroa can defend perimeter players or be effective as a small-ball 4 man. He currently holds an offer from Northern New Mexico. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1041560" first="Darrion" last="Williams"] <em>6’6 SF Bishop Gorman (NV) (#3PHN)</em> - A versatile forward who could excel at multiple positions. Williams is a talented facilitator that delivers pinpoint passes to teammates. He is also a high IQ defender, capable of hedging and switching ball screens. He currently holds an offer from Long Beach St. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859643" first="Shane" last="Thomas"] <em>6’3 SG Durango (NV) (#4PHN)</em> - An athletic, high academic 3 and D guy. There’s a ton to like about Thomas, as he checks several boxes. He spaces the floor with his corner shooting, and is able to lock up multiple positions.
