He was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia in a half Puerto Rican and half Indian family. His family later made the move to and Silas fell in love with basketball.
Position: Combo Guard
Height: 6’3
City/State: Denton, Texas
Future High School: Denton Guyer High School
Club Team: Drive Nation
We sit down to talk to Silas about how he feels about where he stands in the state and the confidence he has on the floor and in his game.
Where do you think you stand against some of the best players in the area?
I feel like I am severely underrated. I have competed against the top kids in the area. I’ve played against top-ranked Nas Price and had 32 points in a win. I’ve played against D5 Global/Young Pro Global and had 25 points. I have also played against Southern Assault, Houston Blue Chips and scored 20+ points a game against them and in the Under Armor Circuit.
What pushes you to get better?
The simple love for the game drives me to get better.
How would you describe your game?
I’d say I am a great two-way player. I can lock people up on one end and score at will on the other end of the floor. I have also become a great playmaker to help my teammates.
What have you been working on?
I have been working on different ways to score but also keeping my teammates involved by creating for them.
How is basketball in Texas?
Basketball is extremely tough in Texas. If you can be good out here you can play anywhere.
My dream school is Stanford at the next level.
Who do you model your game after?
I try and model my game after Dame Lillard I love how he plays.
Silas has a good crafty game and he has some great moves attacking the rim and hitting those tough mid-range jumpers. Love the creativity he displays as well.
