Game Forum: Miami Palmetto

<p>I plugged Miami Palmetto as a team to watch in Dade County and across South Florida. Well, the Panthers got off to a good start against <strong>Schoolhouse</strong> <strong>Prep</strong> with a 73-53 victory.</p> <p>Standouts:</p> <p>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="546206" first="Anthony" last="Salazar"] recorded five charges and grabbed twelve boards in the victory. How many kids have you seen tally five charges? I don't think you can always teach those intangibles. That is a willingness to sacrifice yourself for the good of the team. The 6-foot-5 forward/wing also had six points. Salazar clearly plays with heart, passion, and unselfishness.</p> <p>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709241" first="Cooper" last="Josefsberg"] finished with 14 points in the victory. The 6-foot-3 guard is a fantastic shooter and can stretch a defensive set. Josefsberg played well in fall league games and it has seemed to have carried over. 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="956773" first="Warner" last="Davis"] added 16 points. Miami Palmetto has two quality shooters that can score 15+ points on any given night. I think they will put a strain on opponents all season.</p> <p>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="814912" first="Jimel" last="Lane"] did what I’ve come to expect. The 6-foot-7 forward finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Lane has a dynamic blend of scoring ability and length to finish with a double-double every game. This kid runs the floor like a guard at forward size. Lane can shoot the ball from three or get to the rack and finish above the rim.
