The series of Flight Hankamp Open Runs recently traveled to Lake Michigan College. The school was gracious enough to host the event at their gym, making the run a high intensity and high pressure event. First, let me say that all the players showed up and showed out. Every single athlete impressed the onlookers in various ways.

We named [player_tooltip player_id="985669" first="Damaryon" last="Fishburn"] the MOP at the Flight Hankamp Open Run at Lake Michigan College. He sent a big message at this event. Quite simply, he’s one of the most underrated players in the state of Michigan. Fishburn showed a combination of positional size, strength, and ball skills that made him an incredibly tough cover. He proved that he has the ability to score in a wide variety of ways. Early in the day, he had a physical pout back bucket as well as a deep triple. When working on the baseline, Fishburn flaunted a beautiful mid range fadeaway jumper. The ball came soft out of his hands with a lot of touch. He was able to put the ball on the floor and slice through the defense as well. Fishburn finished at the rim at a very high percentage and was able to pick up buckets at the rim in traffic. He was able to rise up and shoot his mid range pull up jumper over top of the defense. Fishburn was solid defensively as well. He used his length to limit the passing options for the man he covered and played solid vertical defense, even picking up a couple blocks on the day.
