Conference Preview: Midland Empire

<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continues its preseason conference previews with a look at the Midland Empire Conference. St. Joe Lafayette has been a strong program for years and will have another excellent team. Maryville, St. Pius X and LeBlond should also have solid teams.</p>
<h4>The Starting Lineup</h4>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1162927" first="Camden" last="Bennett"] 6’3" St. Joe Lafayette: A physical 2023 wing player who can score at all three levels. He returns after leading the Fighting Irish in scoring as a sophomore. He had an explosive summer getting buckets with 816 Hoops.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="993525" first="Kason" last="Mauzey"] 6’6" St. Joe Benton: A versatile 2022 forward who returns after averaging 16.8 points and seven rebounds a game while shooting 51 percent from the field as a junior.</p>
<p>Caden Stoecklin 6’0" Maryville: A 2023 point guard who averaged 16.6 points and three assists a game while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range as a sophomore.</p>
<p>Chris Guldan 5’11" Bishop LeBlond: A 2022 guard who earned All-Conference honors after averaging 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range as a junior.</p>
