<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continues its conference preview with a look at the Clarence Cannon Conference. Defending champion Monroe City returns a strong group from a team that advanced to the Class 3 state championship game last season.</p>

<h4>The Starting Five</h4>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="993528" first="Joshua" last="Talton"] 6’1" Monroe City: The CCC Player of the year returns after leading the Panthers to the Class 3 state finals. He averaged 17 points, four rebounds and three assists a game as a junior.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1180608" first="Grant" last="Erisman"] 6’5" Centralia: An athletic 2022 forward with a versatile skill set. He was an All-Conference selection after averaging 12 points and six rebounds a game as a junior.</p>
<p>Maurice McGruder 6’1" Macon: A talented 2023 guard who is physically strong and excels at both ends of the court. He earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore.</p>
<p>Drew Mallett 6’2" Highland: A talented three-sport athlete who also excels in football and track and field. He wasn’t an All-Conference selection last season as a sophomore.</p>
<p>Kyle Hays 5’10" Monroe City: A solid 2022 guard who handles the ball and shoots it well from 3-point range. He was a second team All-Conference selection after averaging eight points a game as a junior.</p>
