Ant Brown has major game and he is being recruited by colleges as an 8th grader. When you look at some of the players that have made it out of Maryland there is some talent. Players such as Victor Oladipo, Muggsy Bogues, and Steve Francis just to name a few. Ant has his own style and his own game but he looks to be the next best thing out of Maryland.

This is our Q & A with Class of 2026 Top 50 prospect Anthony Brown.
You’ve been recently recognized by multiple publications as one of the top players in the country, how do you feel about that type of recognition?
I am glad that I was recognized by my game but I try to avoid getting all caught up in rankings because they don’t mean anything yet.
What is something that drives you to be better?
My Aunt is my biggest motivation right now. She survived a very tragic car accident and I have witnessed her struggle to do the simple things in life. My sisters are also a big motivator to me as well.
How would you describe your game?
I am a creative playmaker that loves to score the ball against the best players in the country.
What are you working on to get better?
I’m working on being a true leader for my teammates and I am also working on defending at a high level.
What is basketball like in your area?
Basketball in my area in the DMV is big. It’s highly competitive because everyone wants to be on top.
Are there any local legends that you look up to?
I look up to Quinn Cook and Kevin Durant.
Where do you get your game from?
My Dad’s side. He use to run an AAU program and he was also a coach at the high school level for over 10 years at Largo High School, Wise High School, and Oxon Hill High School. He also played high school ball in the area as well.
Do you have a dream college?
My dream school would be Duke but I also like Miami as well.
Are there any players that you pattern your game after?
I pattern my game after Devin Booker.
Do you play any other sports?
Not at the moment, but I did play QB for the Forestville Falcons at one time.
Do you have a go-to move right now?
My go-to move right now is my spin step-back.
