As the upcoming Wisconsin high school basketball season inches closer and closer, Prep Hoops Wisconsin takes a look at ten 2022 prospects that deserve to get some more attention on the recruiting front:

[player_tooltip player_id="865835" first="Terryon" last="Brumby"] -- Racine Case -- PG

Brumby is an underrated prospect that has flown under the radar recently. The Racine Case point guard has quietly had a very good high school career, as he averaged over ten points per game in all three years of his varsity career. He is a strong, skilled player that is very tough to stop when he gets downhill. Expect Brumby to have yet another terrific season to cap off his high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id="865840" first="Nathan" last="Gapinski"] -- Watertown -- PF

Gapinski is a prospect that I see a lot of potential in. He is a 6-foot-6 power forward that is able to pair athletic ability with skill. He does a really good job of finishing tough shots around the rim and rebounding on both ends. And recently, he has been able to expand his game and start converting on more shots from outside. If he continues to improve, Gapinski could be a steal for a Division Three program.

[player_tooltip player_id="801151" first="Carson" last="Leuzinger"] -- Monroe -- PG

Playing for a consistently good program in Monroe, Leuzinger has had plenty of opportunities to perform well on big stages. As a junior, the point guard averaged 15.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He is a good three level scorer, but Leuzinger really thrives in the midrange. The PG is a skilled ballhandler that does a good job of pushing the pace and finding open teammates. Whichever school lands Leuzinger will be getting a true difference maker.

[player_tooltip player_id="990740" first="Devon" last="Fielding"] -- La Crosse Central -- PG

I really liked what I saw from Fielding this past summer. Playing for Wisconsin Playmakers, the point guard out of La Crosse Central showed just how good he can be. Fielding is a efficient shooter who takes good shots and always makes sure that his squad is organized on offense. He is also a dangerous player in transition thanks to his next-level athleticism. I expect him to make an immediate impact at whichever college he ends up at.

[player_tooltip player_id="945811" first="Kenny" last="Garth"] -- Westosha Central -- CG

Garth is really, really impressive with the ball in his hands. The Westosha Central combo guard is a tremendous ball handler, smooth slasher, and solid shooter. However, the 6-foot-2 combo guard is not just an offensive player. He also gets the job done on defense. Using his athleticism and speed, Garth does a really good job of staying in front of whoever he is guarding. I expect Garth to have a big senior season and attract some top college programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="761407" first="Luke" last="Haertle"] -- Lake County Lutheran -- SG

He might end up playing football in college, but if Haertle decides to chose basketball he should be able to commit to a top program. Playing for Wisconsin Playground Club for his AAU career has really allowed the LCL shooting guard to gain some attention from college coaches. He isn’t the flashiest prospect, but Haertle is always playing with max effort on both sides of the court -- and that is what I love about him.

[player_tooltip player_id="865839" first="Darrien" last="Long"] -- Racine Horlick -- PF

I absolutely loved the potential that I saw in Long this past summer while playing with Gallo Sports Center on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The power forward is a physical specimen that can dominate the paint on both ends of the court. On offense, he is a powerful athlete that can create some pretty amazing highlights. On defense, he has proven to be a great rim protector and rebounder. Look for Long to pick up some steam in the recruiting front this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id="801138" first="Armani" last="Jones"] -- Brown Deer -- PG

Because he is a bit undersized for the point guard position, Jones has gone a bit under the radar recently. But I would encourage college programs to not forget about the Brown Deer PG. Jones is a fearless attacker that does a really good job of driving to the rim and finishing through or around contact. He is also a talented passer that is able to find open teammates with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id="727972" first="Andrew" last="Alia"] -- Kenosha St. Joseph -- SG

Playing for a loaded Wisconsin Playground Club squad in his AAU career allowed Alia to show what type of a role player/glue guy he could be. The Kenosha St. Joseph shooting guard is a well rounded prospect that is able to do it all. Alia is an unselfish prospect that could help any college program win more basketball games.

[player_tooltip player_id="1018019" first="Amillion" last="Buggs"] -- Wausau West -- SF

Buggs is a prospect that seems to get better each time I see him play. A couple of seasons ago, the small forward primarily relied on his athletic abilities. But now he has some real skill in addition to his athletic gifts. The small forward is a dangerous slasher that is able to get to the rim and finish with ease. He is also a real weapon on defense that opposing players have a really hard time scoring on.
