Just a few teams that could surprise some teams as they have young talent they will just have some new wrinkles to go a long with some of the talent they have.

6A

West Jordan High School

West Jordan returns a lot of players if not all of them from last season. They have a lot of shooting which is always a must in a team that is looking to upset teams. They will be in a new region so look for them to sneak up on a few teams. [player_tooltip player_id="934507" first="Logan" last="Prince"] is a good prospect that can shoot the ball really well.

Skyridge High School

Skyridge is on the bounce back as they do play in one of the toughest basketball regions in the state. Regardless of what their record says at the end of the day they will be a tough out for anyone. They have some length that will bother people ([player_tooltip player_id="1045919" first="Bryson" last="Bailey"]) they also have some really good guards that can score. They will be well coached and ready to compete.

Taylorsville High School

Taylorsville is one of those teams that slows you down and they run a lot of zone. They have [player_tooltip player_id="934520" first="James" last="Gavin"] and [player_tooltip player_id="967690" first="John" last="Gavin"] who are both solid players on the floor. The team rebounds well and they know their strengths. If a team is having a slugish day shooting they will lose to Taylorsville.

5A

Northridge High School

Two words Sam Suvulich, this kid can absolutely score. Every coach fears a team that has a player that can take over and sam can do that. He shoots the ball lights out and he is shifty. Northridge has looked like a hungry team this fall. Look out for them up north.

Highland High School

With a new coach and a new system player like [player_tooltip player_id="1066745" first="Sefa" last="Brown"] and [player_tooltip player_id="934506" first="Elijah" last="Tolbert"] will be put in positions to reach their potential. Highland might have some growing pains but they will compete. They have some young players in the pipeline that will likely seethe floor.

Woods Cross High School

Woods Cross could be one of those teams that just pops at the right time. They have a lot of young dynamic scoring guards like [player_tooltip player_id="934027" first="Mason" last="Bendinger"] and [player_tooltip player_id="969245" first="Jaxon" last="Smith"]. They also have some other young players that have size and scoring ability.

4A

Green Canyon High School

Green Canyon has shooters and that is step 1 in an upset bid. [player_tooltip player_id="1057039" first="Jared" last="Anderson"] could double his scoring as well as his three-pointers made and be in the 60+ made for the entire season.

3A

Richfield High School

It really doesn’t matter who is on the roster richfield is a competitive school that doesn’t go out without a fight. Connor Holroy will be the guy to pick it up.
