The Bulldogs have dominated this division for the last few years, and that’s not going to change if Helming has anything to say about it. A 6-6 combo forward who can score inside and out, rebound, and protect the rim, he’s the best player in the league on the league’s best team.

First Team

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1158420" first="Wyatt" last="Helming"], Lake Mills: 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 2.1 blocks, 50.3 FG%

With a pair of double-figure scorers graduated from last year’s team, Helming could see his scoring shoot up into the 18-20 points a game range this year. With his size, physicality, and talent, he can score from all three levels, and he’s a great shot-blocker in the paint.

2023 Rylan Barnes, West Hancock: 13.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.0 steals

A 6-3 do-it-all wing, Barnes led the Eagles in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals last season. He has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, and if he can improve his efficiency a little bit, he could put up massive numbers as a junior.

2022 Andrew Snyder, Forest City: 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.3 steals

A 6-4 big man, Snyder led the Indians in rebounding last season and was second in scoring. He has good hands and uses his frame well to dominate on the glass.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1158456" first="Bennett" last="Berger"], Lake Mills: 7.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 40.2 3P%

A talented lead guard with good size, Berger posted an extremely impressive 5.33-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio last season in helping lead the Bulldogs to an undefeated record heading into the state tournament. He’s also a knockdown shooter when he’s given a bit of space.

2022 Logan Sabin, North Iowa: 11.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals

A 5-11 wing who is at his best when he’s playing downhill and getting to the bucket, Sabin could see his numbers skyrocket this year following the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="964891" first="Dominyk" last="Price"], a high-volume scorer.

Second Team

2022 Carter Bruckhoff, Forest City

2022 Riley Sabin, North Iowa

2022 Braden Walk, West Hancock

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1147612" first="Drew" last="Britson"], Garner-Hayfield-Ventura

2023 Noah Hoffman, North Iowa

2024 Drake Canavan, Eagle Grove
2022 Aidan Fries, North Union
2022 Nick Schiltz, North Union
2023 Denton Kingland, Lake Mills
