It’s October and fall leagues are in full swing, players and coaches are getting ready for the regular season working hard in practice. With opening day just weeks away it’s time to make the Prep Hoops preseason All-Orlando teams. I broke it down into two categories large schools (5-7A) and small schools (1-4A). This article will highlight the Small School Third team.

G/F [player_tooltip player_id="1161409" first="Reggie" last="Virgil"] 6-4 Mount Dora Christian Academy (2022)

A Miami(OH) football commit Virgil plays exactly how you would think a Division 1 wide receiver would. He jumps out of the gym, rebounds and defends hard. As a Junior was the second leading scorer averaging 16.1 PPG to go along with team high 8.5 RPG. With [player_tooltip player_id="818709" first="Rodney" last="Bryant"] continuing his basketball career at Division II West Florida, Virgil seems primed to inherit the go-to guy role.

F [player_tooltip player_id="1293290" first="Kevin" last="Frederick"] 6-5 Mount Dora Christian (2023)

One of the most improved players I’ve seen this fall, Frederick looks ready to be MDCA’s primary inside scoring option. He was impressive at our Top 250 showcase and in fall league displaying an advanced face up game with sneaky athleticism. He drained 3-pointers, scored in the post and dunked hard both in transition and in traffic. He has great vision passing out of the low and high post, and can put the ball on the floor and get past defenders when they play him to shoot. Off the floor Frederick holds a 3.8 GPA making him a prospect High Academic schools should be all over.

SG [player_tooltip player_id="955801" first="Antonio" last="Redding"] 6-0 Central Florida Christian (2022)

CFCA is absolutely loaded this year and I could have easily had a few other guys on this list. With that being said I’m going with Redding. As a junior Redding was second on the team in scoring at 11.4 PPG shooting a ridiculous 49% from three sinking a total of 60. The guard is crafty with the ball, and knows how to get open without it. Expect a monster season out of CFCA and for Redding to play a major part in their success.

PG [player_tooltip player_id="814925" first="Jared" last="Berry"] 5-9 Lake Highland Prep (2022)

Berry has played a major part in Lake Highland’s success each of the last four seasons. Scoring the ball Berry is dangerous when he attacks the basket. His cross over is as quick as they come, and he can keep defenses honest as evident by his 3-point percentage (37%) when they play him to drive. As a junior he led Lake Highland in scoring at 17.9 PPG. With [player_tooltip player_id="712136" first="Brice" last="Sensabaugh"], [player_tooltip player_id="829444" first="Jah" last="Quinones"] and Berry Lake Highland has a backcourt that is as good as any in the state.

PG [player_tooltip player_id="829440" first="Drew" last="Kousaie"] 6-0 Windermere Prep (2023)

Kousaie has been playing his best basketball as of late. He does all the things college coaches look for in a point guard. He rarely turns it over, shoots the three at a high rate, and gets his teammates involved. Another part of his game that I admire is that he doesn’t try to do too much and he knows his role. In his first year as the starting point guard at Windermere Prep he averaged 8.5 PPG and 3.4 APG. Recruiting wise Kousaie is hearing from Division II and Division III schools.
