There is some new teams to fear in 3A as Juan Diego Catholic and Layton Christian Academy move up and down into 3A. The two private schools will cause major issues on the court because they are known to have talent come in from all over the world. They will be the favorites throughout the season. There will be a few teams that might come out nowhere as some of the small school have a lot of prospects playing multiple sports.

Juan Diego Catholic High School (22-3) - Juan Diego makes a surprising jump from 4A to 3A as they have been one of the best teams in all of 4A for the past few years with various talented players home grown and from abroad. This year the international star they will be showcasing will be [player_tooltip player_id="1114374" first="Malick" last="Diallo"] out of Mali. The 6’9 prospect is legit and he hold offers from BYU and Utah State. They will be the favorites in 3A and they have other players that will contribute as well as some young talent. [player_tooltip player_id="934026" first="Zuriel" last="Marquez"] is a shifty CG and keep an eye out for [player_tooltip player_id="1190621" first="Noah" last="Bendinger"] who is a rising freshman.

Layton Christian Academy (19-6) – Souluymane Barro is the bright spot coming back for the Eagles. He will likely be a double-double type prospect. He has size and strength and he runs the floor. He would likely average more but there are a lot of players on the team that play and there is a lot of subbing. Layton Christian is usually loaded from top to bottom and they will compete for a State Championship like they do every year regardless of classification.

Grantsville High School (18-3) - New Coach last season elevated their game and we can expect more of that this year. [player_tooltip player_id="1192006" first="Tate" last="Allred"] will be a scoring threat and will pace the Cowboys. They will have their hands full but their physical style of play will likely keep them in games they might not be favored in. [player_tooltip player_id="967694" first="Carter" last="Killian"] is another prospect to watch as he can score inside and out.

Juab High School (22-3) [player_tooltip player_id="1192148" first="Tyler" last="Hathaway"] will have his hands full but he has the ability to pick up the slack for a Juab team that was heavy laden with seniors. Juab could be back sooner than later.

Manti High School (18-7) - Larson Pogrosewski will be the next man up in a system at Manti that does just that, next man up. They will be a tough team to beat especially at home.
