Player Rankings: C/O 2022 Top Wings Vol 1

<p>The new PrepHoops C/O 2022 rankings have been released! These are our most extensive rankings to date with over 100 players making the list. The depth of the list lies out on the wing, with several quality wing prospects. In this article, we take a look at the top wings in the class of 2022. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1041560" first="Darrion" last="Williams"] <em>6’5 SF Bishop Gorman (#3)</em> - I like players that play their way up the Rankings and Williams has certainly done that over the last few months. The versatile wing took home MVP awards at the prestigious Ron Masey event last month and has looked dominant in much of Gorman’s fall league action. Expect him to receive his share of offers over the course of the next couple of months. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859643" first="Shane" last="Thomas"] <em>6’3 SG Durango (#4)</em> - Thomas is a member of my all-floor team, a low risk player that produces. I’m a strong believer that the wing is going to be consistently productive no matter what team he suits up for. He is one of the top 3 and D guys on the West coast with a knack for burying home the corner 3. Thomas is also a high academic player, who currently carries a 4.0. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859642" first="Ryan" last="Abelman"] <em>6’2 SG Bishop Gorman (#7)</em> - Ableman is one of the top shooters on the West Coast. The catch and shoot specialist provides instant floor spacing, to go along with some underrated ball skills. Ableman is good enough to use ball fakes to lift defenders and create shots for himself. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859644" first="Dontrell" last="Johnson"] <em>6’5 SG Bonanza (#10)</em> - Like Williams, Johnson has played himself into a prospect over the last couple of months. He’s a scorer that has displayed advanced 1 on 1 skills over the last few months, showing the ability to create for himself off the bounce. His shooting is also vastly improved, as he is now a big-time catch and shoot guy, as well as a guy capable of knocking down shots off the bounce. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859645" first="Michael" last="Klekas"] <em>6’3 SF Elko (#11)</em> - Klekas is a little-known player who stars for 3A powerhouse Elko He has major scoring ability, and despite his limited athletic ability, always seems to be able to get by defenders. He is a scholarship athlete of some level, all it will take is for the right program to go out and see him. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="928906" first="Jalen" last="Foy"] <em>6’5 SF Canyon Springs (#14)</em> - Foy is one of the most improved players in the state. He’s always been a guy capable of shooting the ball, now he’s improved his overall ball skills making him a formidable off-the-dribble player. Expect him to be in the running for all-conference consideration, with a solid season for C.S. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1020764" first="Donte" last="Turner"] <em>6’3 SF Cimarron (#15) (featured image)-</em> It’s almost unfair to put Turner in the wing category, as he will see a considerable amount of time at point for Cimarron. It starts with his ability to defend, as Turner is one of the top defenders in the state, capable of guarding multiple positions.
