The Class of 2022 is looking solid with a lot of the Top players coming from one of the best Independent High Schools in the country in Wasatch Academy, nut there are a lot of talented players that go to traditional schools all over the rankings. It’s been awhile since a local product has graced the top of the rankings in awhile as this years #1 player is [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] out at Farmington High School.

#1 PHU || CG || 6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] || Farmington High School ||

There should be no argument here when we say that [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] is the #1 ranked player in the state as he also holds high rankings in various cites. ESPN has Collin in at #30 overall in the country. The CG out of Farmington High School is the real deal as he has elevated his stock more than anyone in the country. Collin has had superb camps and showcases and he even lead his grassroots team to a Final 4 appearance in the Adidas #3SSB Circuit. Collin has improved on so many level and his shooting has really become elite. the play making ability is what jumps out at you immediately as he attacks the rim with force as he is now creating contact and not waiting for contact to come to him. Collin will choose his college in a few weeks as the state anxiously awaits his decision.

#2 PHU || SG || 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1129639" first="Roddy" last="Gayle"] || Wasatch Academy ||

Roddy is one of the premier SG in the country as he is just lights out, Roddy committed to Ohio State as a sophomore and he remains as one of their signee’s. He will play a huge role in their success this year as he will fill the lanes and get some quality shots off. While he is not a high volume shooter he is a high percentage shooter. He makes great decisions that allow other teammates open looks. Roddy can really stretch the floor as a player that must be accounted for at all times.

#3 PHU || SF || 6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="711697" first="Chris" last="Bunch"] || Wasatch Academy ||

[player_tooltip player_id="711697" first="Chris" last="Bunch"] has size, shooting ability and handles all at 6’7. This is why he will be a great fit at Syracuse who uses long wing type players that can play versatile roles at the next level. Really like the way that he attacks the rim and if doesn’t get all the way to the cup he has a nice hook package that allows him to score still. When he does get to the rim he can elevate above defenders to finish with force. He’s got quick elite moves as he keeps it simple when he is attacking the rim.

#4 PHU || F/C || 6’9 [player_tooltip player_id="935804" first="Keba" last="Keita"] || Wasatch Academy ||

Keba is a force that can get up and down the floor. When he gets above the rim on a break or in a position to throw a dunk down he does it with major force. It almost seems as though he is trying to tear the rim down. In the short corner dunk area he is solid on drop off passes as he can elevate through contact on drop steps. Recent offer from Washington could be the start of more Pac-12 schools coming after him. Defensively he is a shot blocking machine that times his jumps well.

#5 PHU || W| || 6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="850703" first="Camden" last="Heide"] || Wasatch Academy ||

The way Camden slides into open spots and is quick with his hands and his footwork is elite. He is very dangerous in the corners. He can rebound and push the tempo and get to the cup with ease. He uses straight line drives but also his footwork to go off of any foot to finish near the rim. He is active around the rim. He also can get up and finish above the rim. Great overall talent heading to Purdue.
