The NCISAA High School Basketball season is right around the corner. Here's an early look at some teams and prospects to keep an eye on in 2021-22.

Rabun Gap School:

[player_tooltip player_id="574457" first="Nathan" last="Brafford"] is an underrated name in the state due to make waves for Rabun Gap after producing 22.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.4 bpg in 2020-21 as a junior. [player_tooltip player_id="1316022" first="Paulius" last="Matulionis"] is a 2023 guard to keep an eye as well after shooting 44 percent from 3-point range as a sophomore.

Ravenscroft:

[player_tooltip player_id="577843" first="Comeh" last="Emuobor"] is a strong physical guard set to break out in the rotation in 2021-22 with [player_tooltip player_id="1316016" first="Dakota" last="Gordon"] running point guard duties. [player_tooltip player_id="1278113" first="Harrison" last="Poole"] is also an underrated sharpshooter to know with this squad. He can get hot in a hurry.

Carmel Christian:

They were a top squad in 2020-21 and there shouldn't be much fall off in 2021-22 with [player_tooltip player_id="1008879" first="Cade" last="Tyson"] (Belmont) leading the charge. [player_tooltip player_id="1142620" first="Kaleb" last="Siler"] and [player_tooltip player_id="927549" first="Luke" last="Krawczyk"] are two names to keep eyes on in the frontcourt. In the backcourt, unsigned senior [player_tooltip player_id="1274301" first="Nyles" last="Howard"] is a nice change of pace at 6-foot-4.

Cannon School:

They've won 2 straight state crowns and with [player_tooltip player_id="577868" first="DJ" last="Nix"] and [player_tooltip player_id="848077" first="Karon" last="Boyd"] back, they'll be a tough squad to beat once again. [player_tooltip player_id="1030010" first="Austin" last="Swartz"], [player_tooltip player_id="1105008" first="Jaylen" last="Claggett"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1226605" first="Isaiah" last="Henry"] are some young prospects to know on the roster that should be ready to contribute.

Covenant Day:

Big man [player_tooltip player_id="1022040" first="Iffy" last="Ufochukwu"] should garner all the attention but with [player_tooltip player_id="854882" first="Marcus" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="1180893" first="DJ" last="Boyce"] and Chris Rivens in the backcourt, they shouldn't have any difficulty scoring the basketball.

Charlotte Latin:

[player_tooltip player_id="1219884" first="Ned" last="Hull"] and Daniel Haughton are an impressive backcourt duo that can both shoot it and create off the bounce. They'll need somebody in the frontcourt to step up this season to lighten the load.

Charlotte Country Day School:

[player_tooltip player_id="1059723" first="Dallas" last="Gardner"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1029968" first="Amare" last="Bethel"] are set to become a backcourt terror at the NCISAA 4A level in 2021-22. They're a guard-heavy group that will also need someone in the frontcourt to step up this year.

Greensboro Day School:

[player_tooltip player_id="848080" first="Michael" last="Zanoni"] (Mercer) is one of the top shooters in 4A and [player_tooltip player_id="577888" first="Jaydon" last="Young"] will be a top junior name that should make an impact on both ends of the floor. Jakson Noble (Navy) and [player_tooltip player_id="577847" first="Nikolas" last="Graves"] (Charlotte) will also add a ton of presence on the floor with what they can do.

Metrolina Christian Academy:

[player_tooltip player_id="1278081" first="CJ" last="Harrist"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1120537" first="Blair" last="Crumbie"] are quite the backcourt while [player_tooltip player_id="1076353" first="Dylan" last="Deluca"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1120321" first="Caleb" last="Maul"] can both roam the wing and paint area and be a presence on all three levels. They're an experienced bunch that should compete when the playoffs arrive.

Christ School:

[player_tooltip player_id="746053" first="Emmanuel" last="Richards"], [player_tooltip player_id="1231789" first="Anthony" last="Robinson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1076360" first="Bryson" last="Cokley"] are some young prospects set to put Christ School back on the map in 2011-22. Keep an eye on 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1316037" first="Donovan" last="Fitzgerald"] as well. He's a wiry 6-foot-4 prospect that can play on both ends.
