We had the opportunity to drop by Milwaukie High School on Saturday night to catch a few games of the HoopSource Fall Series - Session #3. Here is a look at the top performers on the night with many of them rising juniors.

[player_tooltip player_id="1310064" first="Egan" last="Shields"], South Medford Panthers (2023 Ashland)

Shields was the performer of the day as he was absolutely dominant in the paint on both ends of the floor. The 6-foot-10 post ran the floor well, finished at the rim, and even showed some good touch from the perimeter by knocking down a couple of threes. Shields is blessed with a strong frame with broad shoulders and has the mentality to keep getting better. We caught up with this rising senior and will have an update posted soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="857347" first="Aidan" last="Slater"], Northwest Legends (2022 Central Catholic)

Chatting briefly with Slater before the game he noted that this was his first "AAU" action in about two years but you certainly couldn’t notice any rust with his game. The 6-foot-1 guard was draining deep threes as usual but was also showing the ability to attack off the bounce. He also made plays for others which is key as he’ll be playing the point this season for the Rams.

[player_tooltip player_id="1256716" first="Nick" last="Robertson"], Falcons (Blue) (2023 La Salle)

This was the first time we’ve seen Robertson since the 2021 season and with [player_tooltip player_id="855935" first="Nic" last="Boyd"] having graduated, it’s going to be the 6-foot-3 guard’s show with La Salle. The junior made plays all night long especially on the offensive end. When he wasn’t draining long jumpers he was attacking the hoop and using his length to finish with either hand on either side of the rim. Also a great passer, Robertson often found open teammates for easy hoops in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="861092" first="Jalen" last="Childs"], Team Progress (I) (2023 Sunset)

While his team wasn’t able to pull out the victory in the game we watched, Childs was clearly the best player and best athlete on the floor. The 6-foot-3 guard was relentless attacking the lane, and when he wasn’t finishing off the hoop he was drawing contact and getting to the line. Childs hit a handful of perimeter jumpers to keep the defense honest and was good about keeping the ball moving and finding his teammates for scores.

[player_tooltip player_id="861088" first="Graham" last="Eikenberry"], Northwest Legends (2023 Lincoln)

The progression and development of Eikenberry continues and he fared well against the competition that was mostly smaller players. The key for the 6-foot-9 post is his fundamentals are solid - he knows where his spots are and he gets to them both offensively and defensively. Eikenberry was solid on the boards, had some strong post finishes, and defended the lane effectively.

[player_tooltip player_id="1309847" first="Will" last="Holboke"], Team Progress (I) (2023 Sunset)

Holboke got off to a little bit of a slow start but as the game progressed, the 5-foot-10 combo guard started to shine. The junior got free to knock down some catch-and-shoot jumpers but also showed some good moxie with his ball-handling and passing against pressure.

[player_tooltip player_id="1309836" first="Seth" last="Wobig"], Falcons (Blue) (2022 La Salle)

Wobig will be a solid reserve for La Salle this season and he showed why on Saturday night. The 6-foot-4 post has a good motor, runs the floor, and makes the smart play. He got a couple of hustle buckets around the hoop but also showed some range by stepping out and knocking down a three.
