The new PrepHoops C/O 2022 rankings have been released! These are our most extensive rankings to date with over 100 players making the list. That list includes several players flying under the radar for various reasons. In this article, we take a look at the top sleepers in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1236157" first="James" last="Freemen"] 6’5 PF Bishop Gorman (#9) - Freemen is an explosive R&J athlete that plays with a contagious motor. James’ defense and ability to impact games with energy and effort is the perfect fit for the Gales up-tempo style.

[player_tooltip player_id="1265401" first="Bryant" last="Largarady"] 6’8 PF Canyon Springs (#49) - Lagarady is a talented lefty that shoots it well and has the ability to score the ball from both inside and outside. He’s one of the cities biggest sleepers after having missed the last two seasons. If he rounds into shape quickly, he could have a major impact for the Pioneers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297385" first="Andrew" last="Faquay"] 6’7 PF Desert Valley Prep (#17) - Faquay is a transfer from Detroit. He’s a good R&J athlete with long arms and a quick second jump. His ability to rebound, and finish in transition is eye-catching, and he has a legit chance to play himself into prospect range with a strong showing this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1298347" first="Marcus" last="Lawson"] 6’4 SG Legacy (#63) - I’ve only gotten a short look at Lawson, but he is an intriguing prospect. The wing has a knack for scoring and could be one of the leading point producers for the Longhorns this year. Lawson is a long athlete with the ability to defend and finish in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="1272222" first="Elijah" last="Johnson"] 6’1 SG Rancho (#72) - Johnson is a physical specimen with some tools. He has the speed and quickness to get to the bucket in transition, or on drives to the basket. He brings energy and effort every game, in fact, he’s probably more effective when he slows down a bit. Johnson has shown flashes of playmaking and finishing ability as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1265400" first="Alijah" last="Conway"] 6’1 PG Canyon Springs (#78) - Conway will be the steady hand for CS this year. The PG plays with a high IQ and will provide backcourt depth, defense, and playmaking ability. He’s surrounded by several good players, so his ability to help them flourish will go a long way to determine the team’s success this season.
