The Life Junior Guard Kaleb James: He had a game to remember, putting together several highlight plays and finishing with a 9DIME League single game scoring record of 31 Points. He found his rhythm early on and did a nice job of attacking the defense. He was just as impressive on the defensive side of the ball, breaking the record for steals in a game with 11 steals.
The Bucks Senior Forward JeremiahMelvin: The Bucks are headed to the playoffs on a 5 game winning streak and his stellar play inside the paint is part of the reason why. He understands how to use his strength, athleticism and motor to dominate matchups inside the paint even when he may be shorter than his opponent. On Tuesday night he led the Bucks with 17 Points and 9 Rebounds in a close win over The Dawgs.
Eagles Senior Guard Amari Pearson Amari Pearson 6'3" | SF Cape Fear Christian Academy | 2022 State NC : Although his team came up short, he put together one of the better performances of the night. Finishing with a stat line of : 24 Points, 6 Assists and 5 Rebounds, we saw some of the reasons why college coaches are showing interest in him.
The Life Sophomore Javian Grant Javian Grant 6'6" | SF New Life Christian | 2023 State NC : He’s a new addition to New Life as he recently transferred in and it seems that he will fit in well with this team. In his first game of the season he finished with 12 Points , knocking down multiple shots from three point range and scoring inside the paint.
The Dawgs Junior Wing Kimani Brantley: Another player that is playing his way onto the radar of many, he put together an impressive performance and made some big time plays for his team . He can knock down the outside shot but also is a strong enough to score the ball inside at a nice rate.
The Bucks Sophomore Guard Jaylen Sturdivant Jaylen Sturdivant 6'4" | CG Hoke | 2024 State NC : This young man has impressed us week in and week out but his performance this week was impressive for various reasons. He picked up some early fouls and checked back in with four fouls and over 12 minutes remaining in the game. He played solid defense without fouling and knocked down a big time three in the corner with under one minute remaining to put his team up five points all while finishing the game without fouling out.
The Bucks Senior Wing Jordan Maynor: He’s been a solid contributor for his team throughout the year but this matchup was one of his better overall showings on both ends of the floor. He stepped up and scored the ball down the stretch when his team needed it, while also defending at a solid level without fouling.
