1A DII Top Players to Watch

<p>I am writing this article as I stare out at the glorious mountains that are found in Idaho. My mind swirls with the thought of a huckleberry lemonade and I catch myself lost in the idea of eating finger steaks. No, I am not hungry. I simply enjoy spending my time reflecting and remembering all of the lovely things that Idaho has to offer for me, from any type of potato product, all the way to the purple mountains’ majesty, there is nothing quite like this glorious state. Continue reading for a look at some of the top players to watch from the 1A DII classification in Idaho.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="921092" first="Luke" last="Trogden"], Mullan:</strong> Luke is a great point guard for Mullan who shows poise and composure at all times when he is on the floor. Luke plays at a high level and has great stamina for games that are more up and down the court than others. Luke excels as a pass-first point guard and does a great job of putting his teammates in positions to be successful whenever he can. Watch for Trogden to have a great season at the 1A DII classification level in the great state of Idaho.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="969906" first="Jeff" last="Shaw"],</strong> <strong>Dietrich:</strong> Shaw is a combo-guard for Dietrich who also spends a lot of time at the point guard position. He has proven his ability to be a scorer from anywhere on the floor and he will look to turn that ability into more of a leadership position during the upcoming season. Shaw has a really solid feeling for the game and looks comfortable on the floor no matter who he is facing. Watch for Jeff to have a great senior season of prep basketball during the upcoming winter months.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1170716" first="Josh" last="Gipe"], Council:</strong> Gipe is a talented point guard who likes to score at will against any and all defenders. Gipe has been a quality player for Council for the past few seasons and will look to build upon his resume in the upcoming basketball season. Josh does a great job of helping his team score points whenever they seem to be in a drought and he is one of the offensive leaders for the team. Watch for Josh to make a big splash this season at the 1A DII classification level.</p>
