Top 250 Expo: Top Offensive Performances

<p>Continuing my coverage of the Top 250 takes us next to some of the best offensive performances. This is different than scorers as these are guys overall that do a lot with the basketball beyond just putting the ball in the bucket. Some of these guys distribute, others do a combination of things. Overall these are some of the best offensive performances from the event.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="921763" first="Justin" last="Perry"]</strong> (New Albany)</p> <p>Perry brings an intriguing combination of size and athleticism to the table. Incredible length and brings inside-out potential. Finishes around and through contact while finding success stepping back in more of a midrange shot. Promising prospect at 6-foot-7.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1090154" first="Caleb" last="Miller"]</strong> (Thomas Worthington)</p> <p>Miller is such a smooth player in that he doesn’t seem to be affected by defensive pressure. The Thomas Worthington guard was one of the better creators in the half court Sunday, finding guys in a variety of ways and utilizing his ball handling to aid himself. Great spin move and creates separation from defense.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="809611" first="Mekhi" last="Elmore"]</strong> (Taft)</p> <p>Elmore was a little quiet in the game I watched but still showed why he is one of the better offensive players on display. The lefty can put the ball in the basket but can get the ball in the hands of others. Confident shooter and athletic for a PG. Not a flashy player and plays very mellow.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="921757" first="Jerry" last="Saunders"]</strong> (Pickerington North)</p> <p>Saunders has a great overall skillset and appeared to be one of the better overall athletes in the backcourt. Nice frame and size at 6-foot-2. Explosive off the bounce and gets by defenders. Collected on the floor and doesn’t succumb to defensive pressure easily. Bound to have a big season for the Panthers in the Winter.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1285290" first="Jaden" last="Jefferson"]</strong> (Western Hills)</p> <p>Jefferson has incredible length and showed why he is one of the best athletes in Southwest Ohio. Already known to be an incredible dunker in the United Thru Hoops Fall League and with Dayton Elite this past Spring, he has a long wingspan and showed improved shooting in Columbus. Knocked down midrange shots with confidence and put the ball on the floor when needed.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1201839" first="Anthony" last="Ruffolo"]</strong> (Alter)</p> <p>Ruffolo didn’t do a ton of scoring on Sunday, but what he did do was distribute and set guys up. Very composed on the floor and has a good handle of the ball. High IQ guard that knows the right play to make and the right time to do it. Add his known shooting touch and he’s a dangerous guard to have in your lineup.</p>
