The Prep Hoop Top 250 Expo was filled with talent. It featured some of the best players from the Class of 2022 all the way down to some of the top players in the Class of 2025. This addition of Top Performers will feature the Top 2024-2025 Top Performers.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1217934" first="Anthony" last="Bates Jr"]. | CG | Houston Hoops EYBL | Seven Lakes HS

Bates Jr. is my Co-MVP (he shares this honor with 23’ [player_tooltip player_id="1176704" first="Rylan" last="Kennedy"]) of the Top 250 Expo. Out of all the 2024 players he also stands as my Top 2024 player. Ranked #11 in our 2024 Prep Hoops Rankings. Bates Jr. did everything at his pace, no one could speed him up. Bates Jr. possesses a great handle to get him to his spots on the floor. He finished great around the rim and got extremely hot from 3. I loved his form on his jump shot as well as three ball. He had a consistent form on each shot as he elevated, kept his guard hand on the ball and followed through. Bates Jr. has tremendous upside! As he went on his scoring barrage from pull up jumpers, aggressive drives to the basket-finishing strong at the rim and deep three’s. Bates Jr. started reminding me of our former number one player in the Class of 2022 Keyonte George.

2024 Carter Eaddy | F | Guyer HS

My introduction to Carter Eaddy was him diving on the floor in front of me after a loose ball. He literally slid 5 feet out of bounds towards the training station trying to save the ball. Eaddy then followed that up with two steals on back-to-back occasions, two rebounds and two three pointers all in a 5-minute stretch. I decided to check out Eaddy some more in his next game. He started the game red hot from three, hitting the game’s first nine points all threes that barely touched the rim. His activity to ensure that he would be involved in every play impressed me. Eaddy played like there was no tomorrow.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1295910" first="Trey" last="Jackson"] | C | 1NE Percent | South Oak Cliff HS

Jackson made sure his presence was known as soon as camp started. As I turned the corner, he blocked a shot at the rim and then sprinted to the other end finishing with a layup. Jackson runs with conviction on both ends of the floor. He’s active and involved in every play. Jackson showed off his ability to make passes out of the post. Leading to layups, jumpers and open threes. Jackson’s strongest component may be his ability to defend the rim without fouling. Every time I watch him block a shot and or stand his ground in post defense. He does so without fouling. Pick and roll opportunities he shows hard and when he has to stay on the perimeter, he defends well by moving his feet.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1125971" first="Bryson" last="McGlothin"] | G| Southern Assault | Heath HS

Long, Rangy and Athletic is how I would start off to describe McGlothin. At 6’4 he handles the ball like he’s a 5’9 guard but he plays true to his size. McGlothin has a great feel for the game. I loved how he surveyed the floor as he dribbled up the court looking for what he wants and what is available to him. I knew the nerves were there as he got free on a break away dunk and missed it at the top of the rim. Second half as the game got tight McGlothin began to put on a shooting display. He finished the game with 5 threes and a couple of crucial strong left-hand finishes. McGlothin’s potential is limitless as he showed off the ability to score on all three levels.

2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1225569" first="Kash" last="Polk"] | F | ProSkills-McQuaid | Liberty Christian

Polk came out to let everyone know he was serious about attending the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo. He started things off with a deep three that touched nothing but the bottom of the net. Polk was not gun shy, knowing that with his 6’6 frame he could get his shot over anyone. A couple things stood out to me from [player_tooltip player_id="1225569" first="Kash" last="Polk"]. The first was his ability to control his handle against some tough defense. Maneuvering with a multitude of combination dribbles that led to him getting a teammate or himself a shot. The second was his ability to be physical. Polk saw himself go up against some older and size wise bigger athletes. None the less he did not back down, grabbing some tough strong rebounds keeping the ball high. For the 2025 Class he’s my camps MVP.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1126057" first="Colby" last="Springs"] | C | Texas TarHeels | Lewisville

Ranked #49 in our Prep Hoops Rankings the 6’5 230lb Springs used his big frame to dominate the paint. Springs showed off some perimeter skills taking his defender off the dribble on multiple occasions finishing at the rim. Once Springs got his body into his defender, he was virtually unstoppable. I love when a big man wants to be a big man. Many times, Springs caught the ball on the perimeter. He was patient and methodical with how he was going to attack the rim. Never seen him handle the ball the way he did at the Top 250 Expo. Springs was on a mission to show that he has been in the gym working and he put all that work on full display.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1126049" first="Xavier" last="Cato"]| PG | Next Page Force | South Oak Cliff HS

As I’m watching the game looking over the talent. I see a burst of speed coming down hill in attack mode towards the rim. In and out with the finish through contact. It was [player_tooltip player_id="1126049" first="Xavier" last="Cato"]; he led the charge for his team with that same explosion. He was pushing the pace, speeding up the other team’s guards and knocking down the occasional jumper or three point shot when needed. Strong finisher at the rim and amazing vision in the half court. Cato really impressed me with his ability to create not only for himself but his teammates as well.
