MSHTV Camp Preview

The 6th annual MSHTV Camp is set to begin tonight and there has been a lot of hype leading up to the camp. Prep Hoops Next will have coverage all weekend from the camp as we should get our eyes on tomorrow’s stars. Earlier this week, we were able to talk with the camp director, Ty Kish, about what we should expect from the action taking place in Indianapolis this weekend.
“This is the 6th year we have had a camp. We have had kids from over 40 states and we want to get the top talent from across the country every year. We want to get the best guys in the gym to compete against each other and the main component of the camp is exposure and competition. We want this exposure to be able to go out to every media outlet possible.”
The camp in the past has been a great opportunity to get a first hand look at the next wave of stars in grassroots basketball and Ty has done a great job of securing those top prospects.
“There are a combination of ways that help me get the top guys at the camp. I go out and look at a bunch of camps and tournaments myself but I also have a network of people I trust who have helped me get some of these guys to attend the camp. Some guys we have had in the past are Emoni Bates, Robert Dillingham and Jaden Springer.”
Kish was able to give us some intel on three prospects to watch for this weekend.
Treyvon Maddox: “Treyvon is long. I have heard that he has a ceiling to be a top 10 guy in the 2025 class. He is super athletic and is just a kid that has not been in the spotlight before so I am hoping this weekend will really help him to get that exposure and it is something we can look back on where Trevon really blew up.”
Chris Washington: “He is starting to get the exposure and people are starting to learn more and more about him. He is a great talent and has good size to go along with a good skill set and he is super athletic for his age. He is one to watch from the 2026 class”
Jaylan Mitchell: “He is a kid that is ranked in the top 30 for the 2027 class but I think he is one of the top guys in the country honestly and I just want to see him get that recognition. This weekend he will be able to get in front of a national audience and show that he is such a good long term prospect.”
